Trumark Slingshots Power Bands Heavy Pull with 303 Protectant

I love Trumark products and this replacement band is no different. I recently broke my old band and decided to go with a heavier duty type band and after reading a boat load of reviews decided on this one. I often go backpacking for several days in the deep woods and I rely on a few methods for attaining food, so I needed my slingshot to be accurate, reliable and durable under harsh conditions or I may not get to eat. This replacement band has improved my accuracy due to the fact I can pull harder wile still getting a good aim and straight flight. I am confident in taking shots at longer distances and have noticed a gain in fps. This is a great replacement band or a great upgrade. I wish I would have bought this band years ago.

Go on easy and stay on. Seems like a 30 lb pull. Seems to cause a little curve. Either my installation or bands not matched perfectly. It couldn't be me :) The only improvement I would like to see is a better pouch. I like a smooth leather inside that is some what firm. It will form nice in the middle after a little use. This is cheap thin split cowhide unfinished. Takes time to center up and down and side to side. Never get the same twice. I soaked it and centered a 1/2 inch ball bearing and wraped a rubber band around it and let dry. I now have a nice indentation in the middle. Will it last? Haven't tried it yet to see if consistent and shoots straight but might be solved. Still better pouch please.

Rotted and broke within a short time, only used it a few times. I rubbed the solution on it like they said, It didnt help, broke on a drawback,from where it connects to the poles on each side of center, on my wrist rocket sling shot. The regular brownish yellow surgical bands arebetter. This one is supposed to have more draw resistance, thereby propelling your ammo faster, perhaps, but it broke to soon for the money.The regular bands are the best buy.

I have purchase three of these bands so far, and the last one I purchased will be my last. The power these bands produce is awesome! I could tell in graphic detail my exploits hunting with this band, however, I will spare you. I fire 1/2" chrome steel ball bearings at sufficient speed to kill.My issue is longevity! Band #1 lasted 68 shots. Band #2 91 shots. Band #3 lasted only 23 shots. So, if you don't mind the $10 price tag for an average of 60 shots/band, this product is for you. I will keep searching for a more balanced product.

Fun... but the rubber is naturally not UV friendly and sensitive to chemicals used for cleaning.

So, I followed the instructions to the letter, and found that installing these bad boys was painless. The bands slipped right on to my slingshot, and easily aligned. I applied the protectant as instructed, but was too eager to try my new bands to wait the suggested 24 hours after installation to pull back on the bands. I could only contain myself for about 8 hours before I had to start shooting stuff. After 3 or 4 pull backs, the left band popped of and smacked me in the face. Not hard; mind you, but just enough to say, "follow the instructions, moron." So I reattached it using the same procedure as before with the alcohol and all that. After about the next day, I tried it a again and it was all good. No face smacking.But two things... 1) the right band developed a whole in it for no reason whatsoever, and now it increases in size with every use and will soon snap, likely smacking me in the face. 2) The power these bands generate is suspect. I don't seem to get nearly the range that I got with my previous bands.Sooo... nope, I'll not be buying these again when I replace the faulty one I have now.

So I had an old slingshot laying around at home, and it had a broken band. I went looking at different ones and saw this beast.I thought to myself, I may as well give it a shot as it cost nearly the same as any other band.It arrived at my door like any other package would, but I felt a strange power emanating from the brown box with amazon tape on it. I shrugged it off as maybe being a slight case of gas.Once I brought the box indoors, I noticed that it was silent...very silent. I could not hear any birds chirping, or singing from outside my window...no cat meows, or dog barking...nothing.I proceeded to open the box and when I got the first flap opened, a powerful wind, followed by a low and ominous trumpet blast echoed through the house.Strange I thought, that Taco Bell was kicking in so strong. Maybe it wasn't my case of gas i pondered, but again, i don't remember the box of borax i ordered for my wife last week doing that? It was probably just one of those packing bubbles Amazon is so well known to use, and it had burst...Oh well I said to my self.I reached in the box, and i kid you not...When i touched the slingshot band packaging, I had a full tingle on my face. "Hello, what is this" I said aloud as i let go of the band and touched my face....I had miraculously grown a full beard and mustache in an instant.Well, that was weird, but back to business. I got the band out of the box, and proceeded to open it with some scissors. The scissors shattered into 1000 pieces on the floor like a broken mirror.Now I know that blister packs can be tough...but seriously? The only thing I had that was sharp around now was an axe out in the garage.I fetched the axe and laid the band that was still in the blister pack on an old stump and took a swing. The blister pack cut open this time. I stuck the axe into the stump, and got the band from the blister pack...Now feeling the seductive supple feel of the rubber as it caressed my noticeably now more rugged manly hands.I fetched my old slingshot and still noticed not a single animal noise was heard...total silence.I fitted the band on the slingshot and that is where my life changed forever. You see when I found that perfect rock to test it with, and drew back the band...my clothes burst off my body and I now looked much like the incredible hulk....no, maybe more like Conan the Barbarian. The reason for the Conan look is because a local squirrel took its own life skinned himself and made his own fur into a snazzy loin cloth for me to wear.My now forever changed body glistening from sweat and squirrel blood looked better than it ever had. I was now aware that I was the greatest small game hunter un the universe!These results may not apply to all...but for the record, these bands are amazing on a slingshot, and they really do have a lot more power than the regular kind. I have used it for a little over a month, and it has not broken. It did come with some treatment stuff to weather proof the band, and I used it.I hope you enjoyed my review, and no animals were hurt in real life...just the one brave squirrel who sacrificed himself to save his family. Oh, and when I say squirrel, I mean a stuffed animal, and I think 90% of this review may be fictitious, but the bands really are worth the under $10 price tag.

These slingshot bands have held up to every normal shot I have fired. They do break when a rock misfires and ends up hitting the bands where they connect to the slingshot though, but that is understandable. When you dip them in alcohol it really helps to put them on. The 303 aerospace protectant really helps the band life also. I would highly recommend these as a slingshot band replacement.
