I have had this product for about 10 years and it finally conked out. I reordered it because it worked so well cutting my dogs' nails. With the PediPaws, it is easy to use and you can go slow if you feel you are close to the quick. Both dogs took to it very well. It is so much easier to use than the dog clippers that have a light indicating when you can cut the nail. 5 star product all the way!

I was so excited to get this in the mail today. Good delivery, went and got batteries, put them in, and tried to use it on my dog. The minute the nail went in the hole the machine came to a stop. I want to return the item. Ridiculous. I tried going easy, I tried being super soft on touching the sander, but no matter what, it just stop spinning. Waste of time and money.

This is the second brand I have bought. These are cheaply make, but to the job. The worst problem is they don't hold their power. I'm sure I will be buying a different set in a month or two.

I hot this on Sunday, a day earlier than expected. And I have used it on both of my dogs. At first they were jumpy, I think given past nail trimming experiences we've had. But after a few minutes they both settled down and actually let me trim all 4 paws on each dog. My neighbor even used it on her dog. It is so easy to use and the little nail opens ing on the plastic part around the file hold the nail perfectly in place. And I dont have to worry about cutting into the quick either. I love it!

Hi I got this for my dog because his nails grow really long but his nails didn’t grow that long this time because he just went to the vet and got them done I’d recommend this for dogs with super long nails because it has like a hole where I have to be like a certain size to actually get like sharpened and it’s hard to actually get the nail in there when it’s not hurting them and not working so if you have a dog with long nails then I would definitely recommend this because defective and it works but we haven’t really used it because his nails don’t grow that long!

There’s not very many good things to say. It’s a waste of batteries as it siphons so much power, and even then there is very little power that actually seems like it’s going to rotation speed. It’s extremely slow, and barely works on the nails of my family’s medium-small dogs. I can’t imagine how bad it is with a large dog. Not worth it. There is definitely better ones out there.

**Update - even with a fresh set of batteries it still takes 20 minutes to do 2 paws, any real pressure on the nail simply stops the device, and NO "trimmings" are caught in the cup, it looks like smoke coming out. Too bad I am past the return period, this product is horrible, we can do a better job with a hand file. Too bad the only good place for it is the landfill, as the cheap plastic will take lifetimes to degrade. Look for a different product, this simply doesn't have the power to file down claws on a dog. As a note, with the cover or lid off, I can stop it spinning with 2 fingers, without causing any damage/pain to my fingers. That's how weak it is.Maybe after a few more uses it will get easier - it was difficult to get the claws into the slot and seemed to take quite a bit of time to grind them down. Even a little pressure seems to bog down the device, so you just have to let it "ride" the nail. Took about 20 minutes for the front paws the first time, 2nd use was done in about 15. Wish it worked a little faster but probably best the way it is for safety of the dog.

I own the exact nail trimmer that works great. I wanted another one for back up. The one I received is terrible. As soon as you apply any pressure to the sanding drum, it’s stops working immediately. Very weak operator. Do not recommend buying it.

I was disappointed to say the least. Tried new batteries twice thinking that was the problem but it seems the motor is not powerful enough slows down with a slight touch of the nail. The noise scares even the old dog who usually takes a nail trim like a champ
