Medicine Buddha Collectible Sculpture

I recently bought this and the White Tara statue for my book shelve. They both look great, and honestly for the money they both have look and detail of more expensive statues I've seen here and elsewhere. I use them as lightweight book ends and they look and work great for that purpose.The Color and DetailThe subtle colors are wonderful colors, and are a subtle blending from the bronze color into light variations that in my opinion make these look like a fine bronze replica's.The detail is very good in that there are no flaws that I can detect, and even with very close examination the detail looks wonderful, (no signs of molding or rough edges). The face and the clothing look rich having definition and texture, and combining the mentioned the rich but subtle color changes in headdress, clothing and base are beautiful.As I said I use them to hold a few of my favorite blue-ray movies on a shelf that has an Asian Indian theme, but I really can see lots of ways to use them.Personally I think for the look, feel and detail of these statues you just can't beat the price.

As a spiritual Buddhist and artist, I have built up to a collection of several hundred Buddhist-related figures and sculptures. This is a nicely detailed and aesthetically inspiring piece. I recommend it to others for its appearance, cost, and meditative inspiration. Definitely a value for the price, a beautiful focal point for meditation.

I was looking for a piece to use in a memorial alter for a very dear friend who passed away last year. My friend had been a physician and for a short time he had been an ordained monk. This medicine Buddha was the perfect piece.The statue is quite heavy and well made.

Beautiful 6 inch Medicine Buddha statue. Excellent precise detailing in all aspects of the statue; the facial and body features have life like resemblance. The colors of the statue are not too bright, and not too bold. The colors are pretty and fit the statue perfectly. The statue is very pleasing to look at, and is durable. A very fine masterful piece of spiritual art work. I'm happy that I bought it.

This little statuette turned out to be much better than I expected. I have placed it in my office where I may contemplate it every day. It is finely detailed, showing a serene visage coupled with beautiful hands and feet. All the Medicine Buddha attributes are properly in place, and again, presented with good detailing. I only wish the exposed flesh were more blue, and that is the ONLY reason I give this four stars instead of five. If you or a friend are in need of help for health issues, this lovely image transmits abundant healing Energy.I was recently admitted to hospital for a serious bout of Congestive Heart Syndrome. (They're now avoiding the word 'failure'.) I have been a serious student of Buddhism, so I ordered this for myself as soon as I was out of hospital. I recite a simple mantra every day -- when I think about it -- you can find it on-line. Anyway, five weeks on, my wonderful, attentive Cardio team is amazed at the progress I'm making in restoring my health and energy. BTW, I am 80. And no, I do NOT attribute ALL that healing to Medicine Buddha himself. One must needs WORK, and follow the prescribed protocols in order to restore one's vitality. Beautiful! Tho is not blue the colors are beautiful, it is heavy which is great for me , high quality!
