These fit differently than previous Ghost versions
I've worn a 9.5 Medium width Ghost shoe for the past couple of versions (Ghost 10, 11). In the past, every time I got a new pair in this size I could always count on the amazing cushioning, roomy toe box, and zero break-in period. With those previous experiences in mind, I ordered myself the 9.5 Medium Ghost 12s. When trying the shoes on, I noticed that while the shoe length was as expected, the toe box seemed a little less roomy and the mid-foot insole and saddle seemed narrower than previous versions. When I went for a run, my little toes fell asleep, and I had soreness in my feet that I've never experienced with the previous Ghosts. I'm going to try these with a wide-foot lacing technique, but if that doesn't do it, then I'm off to the running store to get properly fitted. Maybe I need a different size/width Ghost 12 or maybe this version of the Ghost just isn't for my feet.

Worth every penny!
I've tried and tried to make it work with countless other brands of shoes but nothing cuts it. I have high arches and under pronate, which means I walk on the outside of my feet. I have constant pain and the only thing that alleviates it are Brooks ( and Crocs for around the house). Specifically the Ghost has always worked perfectly for my foot, better than Glycerin. My foot is on the wider side and I never have to size up or chose a wide in these either. Really like the color of these as well, I usually always go with black so this was a nice change of pace. They have the perfect amount of support for my runs, here's to hoping they will hold up to being on my feet all day at clinicals!

Comfort and support!
Relied on Brooks’ neutral Ghost since Ghost 6 while recovering from plantar fasciitis years ago. Has a comfortable footbed on its own, which can easily be replaced with a prescription orthotic. Happily, new neutral colors of the Ghost 11 and 12s make the Ghost even more appealing since, at 70 yrs old, my days of cutesy flats are about over. So back to wearing Ghost! Most important to do so after a torn tendon in my foot wearing those cutesy flats along with bunions and arthritic knees now too. Am a very active walker, not runner.

Gloves for your feet
I wore these shoes for the first time yesterday, and I must say, they are the first shoes I have ever worn that I cannot wait to take off when I returned home. So light, so roomy in the toe box yet snug through the rest of the foot bed. They have a fabulous arch support, and as a plantar fasciitis sufferer, I can attest to the support, and snugness of the heel fit. So flexible, no slippage, and a more natural gate than any other shoes I have had. Believer me.... I have tried them all, including many of the best rated ones in the annual Runners World magazine reviews. Granted, I have just started wearing them, but I am hopeful for the first time that I have finally found a shoe that I can live in. My daughter and her husband recommended these to me, and they were spot on. I hesitated about the price of this shoe, but now have no regrets and feel that they are well worth it.

Blisters and cheap laces that come untied
I have been wearing the Brooks Ghost model for about 5 years. This latest model 12 feels more narrow in the toe box, as other reviewers have said. I walk 5 miles every morning and this morning came home with blisters from how snug these are in the front. Brooks also changed the laces. The new laces are cheap and shorter and constantly come untied. I didn’t try the 11s and instead last time bought 2 pair of the Ghost 10s. Those were the last pair of great Brooks running shoes that I have worn.

LOVE THE UPGRADES IN THIS VERSION
I've had 2 previous pairs of Ghost shoes - the 10s and the 11s and I've loved them both. But from the moment I put these on there are BIG Noticeable differences. They are even softer. more cushiony than before. If you thought you were walking on clouds with the previous models, wait til you try on these. And I feel they have more room in the toe box too. Fit is perfect, no "breaking in" these sneaks - they are ready to go from the first step. My previous 2 pairs have lasted me over a year each with just one refresh on the inside soles each time.PLEASE BROOKS! Come out with more variety of colors on these and future models. I'd ever buy white or light shoes since these are my workout/run shoes not for lounging around in. Love the darker colors (this one was great - they look black on screen but actually appear more purple/grey/black in person I think, my 11s were blue). I'd even consider a brighter color as long as its in line with what I wear all of the time. I'd never buy the pink/green combo you currently have as they wouldn't match the majority of what I wear (blue red purple black grey).

Listen to reviewers!
I have been a loyal Brooks fan for years. Ghosts are my favorites, but I've deviated to Levitates and even some trail running ones, too. They've generally been fantastic. After reading other reviews, I decided to go for a wide width, especially after finding levitates and other Brooks sometimes a little too narrow or with too small a toe box. My Ghost 10s were great in normal width, but I didn't want to risk it. I'm really happy I did. They are roomy both in width and in toe box, and just generally seem to fit very well (though I did have to tighten the laces a little more than in previous shoes). Even straight out of the box, I was in love. They seem to be even more cushiony than previous Ghosts, too. So, if you're worried about width, you might consider ordering wide.My only other advice is that these are definitely NOT for supinators (those with underpronation). As a neutral runner, I've always felt pretty balanced in Ghosts, but in these I feel like I am rolling my feet inward a bit. It seems to put a bit more pressure on the ball of my foot and toe than I'm used to, so it could prove to be problematic for those with supination tendencies or injuries in those foot areas.

The best running shoes
This is my second pair of Ghost 12 shoes. From the first time I wore my first pair I knew they were the running shoes for me. I run 25+ miles per week, up to half marathon distance and these shoes have never caused me any pain or problems. They are more comfortable than any other running shoes I've owned. They might not be a cheap option but they are worth every penny. My first pair lasted for over 6 months and did more than 500 miles on my feet. I wish I'd known about Brooks when I was just starting out as a runner. I could have avoided a lot of the very nasty blisters I got wearing other shoes!I prefer plain black running shoes because I wear all sorts of running clothes and these go with everything, but there are plenty of other colours if you like your shoes a bit more flashy. This pair arrived very quickly after I ordered them and the seller had included a pair of free running socks which I thought was a lovely gesture.

Perfect footwear for support and function
I cannot gush enough about this footwear. They were product-recommended for underpronation and are the second style of shoe I have tried (previous being ASICS). They are so comfortable to wear, they are supportive, lightweight, easy to don and doff (the ASICS have to be fastened really tight to provide support and then need undoing in a similar manner). They feel sturdy underfoot, much like my heavy duty walking boots without the weight. Just need a range of colours now!

Fantastic running shoes
Love these. Very comfortable. My shoe size is 3, so I will recommend to go 1 size up or 1.5 size up. I use for running and they are fantastic. Only downside is the grip on wet surfaces is somewhat lacking.

Design or manufacturing fault
I bought these in May, having been recommended Brooks Ghosts by a lot of fellow runners (I’ve been an Asics Nimbus wearer for years) and at first I was very happy with them, but after five months, the inside has ripped apart on BOTH shoes, in exactly the same place. For this to have affected both shoes it has to be a manufacturing ordesign flaw, rather than me having unknowingly caught it on something. I usually get a year of wear out of my other running trainers, and five months for over £100 is poor value. Very disappointing.

Perfect trainers
I was very worried about buying new running trainers online but as I can’t pop to the shops at the moment, and my current trainers falling apart with all this daily exercise, I took the plunge and absolutely have not regretted it. I did do a lot of online research as I suffer with plantar fasciitis in one foot, Brooks Ghost came out as the top recommendation for female neutral runners like me who do 3 or 4 5 mile runs a week. I found this supplier on Amazon was offering the best price and fastest delivery and that certainly proved to be the case. The trainers arrived on time as described and I’ve since done 4 runs and a daily workout and they are absolutely brilliant!
