FE-OUTBACK20 Finished End Body Side Molding Compatible with Subaru Outback - Crystal White Pearl (K1X)

I've installed these side moldings before so I knew what I was getting into. The instructions say to use masking tape to get your level line but most tape won't give you a straight line so I recommend using a string instead and to make pencil marks so as to keep the molding straight. The curvatures on the door skins create the illusion(s) that the molding curves but it isn't if you've used the string method. The molding will bend up and down slightly (perhaps 1/8") so it's important to follow your marks. Seems like a quality product and the 3M tape sticks very well. I only gave it 4 stars because there were a couple of small paint flaws. They can't be seen w/o close inspection but I think they could tighten their quality control a bit more. Still a nice product that is definitely overpriced. Cheaper than from the dealer though.

Quality product, equal or better than the OEM version. I compared side by side with the same model with factory side moldings and actually think he Dawn Enterprise ones I installed look better. Both should provide equal protection from door dings.Note that installation takes close to an hour if done carefully and the process requires some project skills. If you are someone that has trouble with or does not enjoy assembling IKEA furniture, this solution is not for you. But if you're meticulous and carefully follow the install instruction, you can save some signifiant dollars as compared to a dealer installation.I stretched some sewing thread across the doors to mark the installation line. That help assure the tape went on straight.

Shipped quickly and came well protected in a tube. Color matched perfectly. Easy to use instructions. We were able to install in less than 30 minutes. There were some minor imperfections in the paint but it wasn’t bad enough to keep us from installing them.

I wanted something that would add a sportier element to the profile of my Subaru Outback. These body side moldings do the trick. The will also help in preventing door dings. Nice addition to my new Subaru.
