Rapala Rattlin 05 Fishing Lures

I am relatively new to using this type of lure. I recently moved to a different area, and am trying to change my fishing style to match the new techniques required.This lure is great for med retreive rates, at least when Im using it. Too fast and it seems to get too wobbly and fish stop biting. Too slow and it doesnt seem to attract them as well. I have managed to catch some nice bass, a few big ones, and also caught many croppy and other small fish.Lure sinks quickly, but rises fast when reeled in. Bass in my area seem to love it. Problem for me is that I usually fish from shore so I have issues with it getting tangled in the weeds. I avoid this by using this lure in the areas I know, and reel it to the surface over the areas with large weed beds, letting it sink on either side of it.This is a great lure, relatively heavy for its size allowing for some good casting distance. Performs well, they go after this lure, and once they bite, none have gotten off.Great lure to add to your box.

This lure caught fish for me as soon as it hit the water. Caught a nice 17" speckled sea trout on the 1st cast. Will be buying more in the near future.

Great crank bait. Looks good, feels good. Shame i got it snagged within my first 20 minutes and lost it. 4 stars because I thought it was a little pricey.

Here's another one the same kind and just as great I put this one on lead core line and dropped it way down deep I forget what lake it was but I was hitting smallmouth bass, largemouth bass and some pretty large rainbow trout hit this thing too. I mean it was picking up every species that could get their mouth around it including the other one that I just wrote a review on. Get like 25 lb lead core line or maybe a little less but you don't want to go more and remember the colors that you have out or else you'll be hitting the bottom.

This lure is amazing,it's sleek look and rattle attracts every type of fish.A must on every fishermans tackle box.

Catches fish

Used this lure casting from a dock into a lake that has been stocked once this year. Just from looking at it it looks cheaply made. Used it 2 consecutive days in the morning and evening when the bass were hungriest. I caught nothing not even a bite. My husband was using nightcrawler and was pulling in some big large mouth bass. One if had been legal to keep was worth having mounted. That's all he used and was bringing in fish after fish. I was really disappointed, enough so that I through it away. Might be worthwhile if used trolling.
