Strong citrus scent, seems to be working well with the dry winter air.

Title says it all I ordered 8 brands, giving the rest to friends after the Detroit Black became wife approved. I tested each and between the top two contenders, this and one that smells of sandelwood I like the feel of the Detroit oil better….lighter, not as oily a residue. Smells great!

Smells good but not over powering keeps my beard soft and looking good

This is a great scent and conditioner. I'll probably keep buying it, but it is a little on the expensive side.

I used Gibbs prior to this, and the difference is very apparent. This stuff actually keeps my beard soft, smelling great and the moisturizing last through the whole day. Its thick, and has a strong scent to it that fades pretty quickly. Overall, this is the best stuff I have ever used. I just wish you got more for what you spend on this. Oh well, I will be buying more of this in the future.

I was introduced to Detroit Grooming Co. "Corktown" grooming oil by a trusted friend. The oil is actually a mix of multiple oils, (see ingredient list) and feels and smells great.I have previously only had experience with beard waxes and pomades, and they always have seemed more work than was really worth going through, and they all tend to leave the beard too shiny and the hair feeling greasy. Even after combing it out, waxes make it obvious you've got product in your beard. Totally whack.Anyways, this oil is easy to administer, by keeping your finger over the opening in the bottle, and dabbing on the oil through the beard. I usually only need three of such applications, and my beard it about 3 inches long. You can then spread the oil my a gentle massage throughout the rest of the beard. A little dab under the nose leaves a pleasant scent for hours.I find that I apply the oil twice a day, and I expect the 1 ounce in the bottle to last a few months.As for the smell, it is heavy on the vanilla, but not overpowering. The tobacco is much like a black and mild cigar, but more refined, like an unburnt high quality pipe tobacco, the kind that reminds you of Grandpa (in a good way, not an old pishy pants geriatric way). The cedarwood is underlying the first two aromas, but is definitely there. Sometimes tobacco is overpowering, but in this blend, it is in equal measure with the vanilla.INGREDIENTS: Sweet Almond Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Safflower Seed Oil, Rice Bean Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Avocado Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Fragrance and Essential Oil. I love the product. It smells, moisturizes, and feels great. However, the bottle and dispensing is subpar. Unlike other brands that have a pump or a dropper top, this bottle is just an open top that requires pretty steady hands to dispense the desired amount without pouring too much out.

So far I really like the way this beard oil smells. Feels good in beard and moisturizes my beard and I can rub it in well

Currently using their beard butter (Yorktown) and wanted to try their oil for the longest time. Also wanted to mix and match the scents.The scent is as described, it's a citrusy scent but the lavender takes the edge off from the orange.Feels great in my hands and beard, and I got a whiff even in the afternoon. A little goes a long way. Just be careful when taking it out on your hand, you DON'T want to waste this premium product.

I have quite a large beard, and a few drops will do!But I find the fragrance intolerable. Sad, but hey, that's what ordering without smelling does... Will not return, not seller's or Amazon's fault.

This is my first time using beard oil. It's perfect. Love the smell of it. And so does the wife( that's a bonus) leaves beard soft but not oily. A little bit goes a long way. Shipping was on time.

As usual I’m very pleased with the product. All I can say is Detroit Grooming Company has the best products for your beard. I have been using there products for a few years now and didn’t know you could get them on Amazon. I recommend if you have a beard give them a try you won’t be disappointed I never have.
