I had to do a custom closet that needed to be portable. This product filled that space perfectly and allowed for more hanging space!

The hangar is not a as sturdy as I expected. Easy to install and works as stated.

I bought the Whitmore Double Closet Rod first and while it works and is good quality, I found this one to be much more stable. I bought this one because I needed one that would fit a more narrow section of closet but was pleased to find I like it much better! I wish I had bought this one for where I am using the Whitmore one, which is as wide as this one would be on the widest setting. This one is good quality also.I'm now buying a second one for my laundry room to be able to hang hangers below the clothes so as I take them from the dryer, I won't have to squeeze the clothes and extra hangers on the one rod.

Just got this for a closet reorganization and have it hung on a large reinforced wooden dowel closet pole. Using all wooden hangers I have it pretty full with pants to include several pairs of jeans along with 2 vertical pants hangers -10 pairs of capris and several more pairs of various pants. So far so good folks! It’s holding up well and doubles my closet space. I would definitely recommend this.

I got this closet divider to make more space for my baby's clothes in our closet, with her clothes on top hanging from the actual closet bar and mine underneath using this doubler bar. It was pretty intuitive to put together and the instructions were fine, but the weight of the clothes quickly caused one side to droop and then everything slid to the right. The plastic things that are supposed to hold the adjustable bar up where you place it are kind of loose and just fall off instead of clicking snugly together, so they don't hold the weight you need them to - and we even had them doubled up. I probably should have thought of this when I saw this was adjustable, because it's probably a difficult design problem to overcome. I think it would work better if there were pegs with rounded ends that you secure through holes in the vertical bars, or something, to hold the horizontal bar up where you want it. My husband was able to re-adjust the bar, but it took him a while and cost him some pinched fingers. It's an OK product, but I wouldn't plan to hang lots of clothes on the bottom bar, even though, presumably, fitting more clothes in your closet is why you'd buy this in the first place. If I had more space, I would do both rows for my baby's clothes since they are so much smaller and lighter, but we don't have room in our closet and she doesn't have that many clothes.

I have another similar product but this one is far superior and you can change the width of the space which is super helpful.
