Psych: An entertaining show
Alright, this show is absolutely magnificent, I have been watching it for quite a while, a while as in since the first pilot aired. The character development is great, and I appreciate the fact that each episode contributes to character development and instead of leaving the characters development in one episode, it will continue to affect them the rest of the show. It's a great show for you to watch if you enjoy some humor and an interesting mystery. I highly recommend the show in general :D

Another Steller Season
Season 4 kept everything you love about Psych and added a lot of new wrinkles to the formula that only made it better. The season had some great plotlines like Shaun actually having a serious girlfriend. This added a great new dimension to the character as he tried to learn the ins and outs of relationships. That was a really fun idea that drove Shawn into different areas of his character. The season is notably stronger the first half but that isn't really a criticism of the second half. It's just that they felt more like a normal crime scene investigator show sometimes instead of Psych. The first half just seems to have a lot more variety. The season ended though on my favorite episode of the series "Yin Presents." It is the sequel to the season 3 finale and is an awesome tribute to Alfred Hitchcock. The suspense in the episode kept me on the edge of my seat and the ending is very emotional as you wonder how the trilogy will be concluded. Some other great episodes include a Jaws tribute, Shawn in the Old West, a man that is cursed, an exorcism, and even Shaun getting shot. The acting from Dule and James is always hilarious as they argue even at the most inopportune times. The DVD set itself features a few audio commentaries and every episode has a video commentary which includes the writer of the episode answering questions. These little video commentaries are a great way to see the process behind the writing of Psych and make this set even better. If your a "fan of delicious flavor" then go pick this up you won't be disappointed.

One of my favourite shows!
I love this show, and how fun and light it is - if you're ever feeling down or anxious, this show is a burst of sunshine to pick you right up. It's never too dark or gory, or scary - except some of the horror-final episodes of the later seasons, but aside from that, good bromance procedural with comedy and a heart of gold.

Still Love it!
Psych is one of the best show on TV today, and Season 4 is just one great episode after another. The "comfort food" and "no need to revamp a winning formula" comments are pretty spot on, when I think about it, but most of the time I'd be happy to just watch a new Psych that's the same old Psych.Of course there's more pineapple, and more 80's pop culture references, and more Gus don't be a . . . 's, and more silly aliases for Gus. There are also more 80's guest stars, and of course the Werewolf episode. I liked it so well that I watched the whole season within a week and a half of receiving it. (My 14 yr old daughter kept taking the disc I wanted to watch next, or I'd have probably watched it within a week.) I have most of season 5 on DVR, but still can't wait for it to come out on DVD (and of course for the Season 6 to be aired later this summer). The gag reel, Psychouts, Montages and deleted scenes are must see.Haven't checked out the podcast commentaries yet, so I can't comment on those, but although the video commentaries put my wife to sleep, I found them interesting.Over all I say BUY IT!

This is our favorite show!
My husband and I have binged this whole series together several times. When I bought this for him as an anniversary gift, I hid each individual box set somewhere in the house with a pineapple all over the house and the yard. I told him to “go find the pineapples!” He LOVED it! That was several years ago, and it’s still in the Blu-ray player. We were watching it last night. Haha! Highly recommended!!

Any season of Psych is can't miss viewing, in my book!
Fave episode is 'death is in the air' right now. Judd Nelson's role as Thornberg virus specialist was hilarious! 'Bollywood Homicide' and 'High-top fade out' are also great, not least because of the wonderful re-renditions of the main psych theme song. In 'High-top', boyz 2 men does a great unseen guest role as the voices for Gus' college band.Think tank is probably my all time fave episode of this season, not least because of the twist that occurs in the first twenty minutes.Psych always features killer guest stars and I continue to watch devotedly because of the chemistry between Shawn and Gus.Am so sad that the series just wrapped! --If you are even a remotely devoted psych fan and you haven't seen the finale yet, WATCH IT! Everyone right now is talking about the how I met your mother finale, what a let down etc.... The finale of Psych is one of the most touching, funny, heartfelt things I have ever seen-- completely true to the spirit of the show!!

One of my all time favorite shows
The first two seasons of this show were slow and a little difficult to stay interested but the Gus and Shawn combo kept me interested. I didn't even like James Roday for the role of Shawn at first. I felt it was a bit off, not sure why but as the show matured I really found myself really enjoying his acting. After 8 seasons and watching the musical, no one on this planet could replace James Roday for this role. Gus played by Dulé Hill was my favorite character. His need for food, his sympathy crying and or his "scared" reactions were priceless. Put the two of them together and the show was unique and enjoyable.I could go in to detail about everyone from Timothy Omundson who played Lassiter, Maggie Lawson who played Juliet and the Chief of police Karen played by Kirsten Nelson and Shawn's dad Henry played by Corbin Bernsen who rocked the father role and throughout the show provided Shawn with valuable life lessons that would help him as he grew up.The hand to the head or the singing of "Suck it" or their jumping around in excitement over some cases and Shawn's key phrase you'll notice often "I've heard it both ways" made it so fun to watch.I "marathoned" the show after watching 2 seasons on Netflix and couldn't stop. Not a fan of Musicals and I even watched that. Since then I've been buying up the 8 seasons, musical, Halloween special and the book off Amazon, so i'll probably copy and paste this review on each season.Hands down my favorite show and highly recommend it! Already re-watching it again with the dvd's i've ordered because I wanted to see the special features and gag reels.

Love the series!
It was a good value to buy for its entertainment. Of all the seasons, this was the first that came with one disk damaged. I am about to see what can be done to resolve it. One disk out of 24 is not a disaster, but I do want the one that doesn't work.

Shawn is growing up
Pysch is really good, with development of Shawn and Gus' characters, they are growing up. It still has the same fun factor but now also has a serious side as well. Really good !!!!
