Nifty Gadget Scores Points At Work
I work for Colonial Williamsburg which means I am exposed to all kinds of weather. I noticed I was buying a lot of those disposable hand warmers and they only managed to take my hard earned paycheck without giving me any kind of helpful benefits.I simply did a search on hand warmers and up popped this nifty little gadget. I did my research for the pros and cons of this 'must have it now' gadget, and realized it's *exactly* what I've been looking for.I have a muff to help keep my hands warm, I added my EnergyFlux handwarmer to the muff, and my hands stayed warm all day long. I showed several coworkers my nifty gadget and each one asked where I purchased it. They're extremely excited about purchasing one.I have to say I highly recommend this type of handwarmer because it does exactly what it's supposed to do. The added bonus perks of it being an electronic device charger and flashlights makes it even better!!

It works, however,
In truth I just got it so I've used it 3 or 4 times. The main thing is that it works, preventing my fingertips to become white and painful with lower temperatures. Wish it would be just a hair warmer and that the recovery time when exposed to air would be a tad quicker, but I guess this is the tradeoff for the battery to last longer. The LED light is a nice option but I would give it up all together if the area heated would reach to the edge of the hand warmer (where the LED and switch is located). This is almost perfect size for my medium/small hands. It may not be enough for large hands. As I recall there is a larger hand warmer available that uses a larger capacity battery. It has a very nice feeling to the touch (whether hot or not) that invites to keep turning it in the hand. All in all I would buy it again.

Perfect for me!
I have a partial amputation of my thumb, and was warned that the cold would be brutal - and it is. I have tried several things: reheatable hand warmers (they cool down too quickly), fingerless gloves that cover my thumb(cute, but not practical for my lifestyle), heated gloves(they are so bulky that I cannot do anything with them on). I had looked at the hand held warmers before, but didn't see how they would really benefit me...until I crossed the line with the cold and it became unbearable pain. I decided to give it a try, and I am so glad I did. I can just put the warmer in my coat pocket or purse, put on my very comfortable and serviceable Isotoner gloves and go on about my business - once I feel my thumb starting to get cold, I just reach for the warmer, turn it on, and within seconds it is heating up. I can get my thumb warmed back up and carry on with what I am doing. Plus, the one I bought has the LED flashlight - very handy on cold winter evenings when it gets dark early. Can't use flashlight and heater at same time, but love that I have a 2 in 1 tool that I truly use.

I went through two of these devices and they both stopped working.
I have a medical condition that tends to keep my extremities cold so I purchased this device to help keep my hands warm during my morning commute. So I was using it fairly regularly throughout the morning and the day while I had the device. The first one arrived and I let it charge overnight to make sure it would be ready for the commute. At first the device worked great reaching temperature in only a few minutes and bringing much relief to my hands. The first warning sign was that it died after only 3 hours of use. It was also running almost uncomfortably hot so I contacted the manufacture. They were friendly but they wanted me to send the faulty device at my own expense and then they'd send me a new one. Within a few days of owning the device it finally died and failed to turn on.I wasn't going to spend my own money to send it back to the manufacture so I just triggered the replacement one from Amazon. The next device seemed good and I was going to just consider the first one as just an unlucky accident. After a week of constant use the second hand warmer died as well.Cheap electronics are finicky things, so a failure rate is to be expected at this price point. But if you look at the review distribution and the irregular spike of 1 star reviews, it's fairly evident that they're dealing with an abnormally high failure rate with these devices. You should probably avoid anything made by this company.

Buyer beware
I am not one of those people who give a five the day I receive an item, just because it arrives on time. I actually want to use the product and then review it. For this reason, I am now here to write my review. I purchased this item and it was delivered on December 13, 2018. I have used it on five occasions. Today is February 9, 2019 and the button has fallen off.Let me also say that when not in use, it is safely kept in a box and when I take it out, I safely transport it in a snug inside pocket of my leather backpack. I pulled it out of the bag and the button was off. I had to fumble to turn it on and off and then later, I also noticed that the temperature was not up to par when I needed it.Again, this was delivered on December 13th and the button had fallen off by February 9th.I suggest you buy another brand

Works well, simple to use, but watch you don't lose the switch
Like others mentioned, all is well except the simple slider-switch from off to heat to light. Without much effort, it can fall off and is small enough to lose easily. Happened to me first day - slid out of my pocket while I was getting used to it, fell on soft ground, but switch popped off. Luckily it's white, saw it easy this time. I'm going to put some tape or something on it to hold it better. But it heats up fast, consistent, good bright light. Simpler in design that prior models with the "push it once, push it twice" concept, but you can only do heat or light, not both (but how often do you need that?). I like the smaller footprint, like a deck of cards versus longer liker a pencil / glasses case.
