Bought this battery to replace the original one in a Dell Inspiron 7480 which was on it's last legs. In the box was the battery and a couple of screwdrivers and that was it. No instructions or anything.Throwing the included screwdrivers in the bin I then proceeded to use my own to open up the back of the Dell. After removing the back and locating the battery fixing screws it was a case of removing them and disconnecting the battery.Worth pointing out that you're going to need to keep the battery cable as the replacement does not come with one.After installation of the battery and putting the laptop back together I powered it on to find the battery had about 50% power. I quick check of the battery stats shows that it seems to be an LG battery and that it's capacity is about 10% less than the dell one.I followed the instructions on the Amazon listing, to run down the battery to 13% and then charge to 100% - note in Windows 11 this only showed as 99% but under Linux it was 100%. I then ran the battery down to 13% again followed by a full charge, again only 99% in windows.Worth noting at this point that if you've got the Dell Battery Power Manager application installed then it might be set to prevent you charging past 85% - you'll need to change the charging profile to go higher than this.Once I'd done these initial steps and after charging to 100% I was able to use the battery down to about 55% for nearly 4 hours which is quite amazing. Admittedly this was just general browsing but still great lifespan from the battery.In use the battery was nice and cool and at no point during the installation did I need to modify anything to install the battery.

First thing - Dell laptops do not accept noon-Dell batteries, and they wont charge when on, and you have to hit F1 to turn it on every time. You can charge the battery - the laptop has to be off, and you need to catch it unawares - don't plug it in just after turning it off.The battery itself is good, with a good charge and good working time.Dell is the problem, who want to charge three times as much to 'keep you safe'

After three months the battery has stopped working. My laptop switches off randomly and crashes. DO NOT BUY!

Got quoted £180 to replace my battery on my latitude with a genuine battery as repair shop don’t like using cheap batteries due to the nature and risks.After a google I found the genuine battery for £79 and a video of how to replace.See it was easy enough to do.Then started searching for cheaper batteries and come across this one… see there was load of good reviews and half the price of a genuine battery, so bought it.Delivery was spot on, item was as described… see a previous post about chucking the tools away so had my own at the ready.Fitted straight in with no complications. Holds charge well. Very happy

I was a little dubious to buy a non-Dell replacement battery and some of the other reviews mentioned having to modify the battery etc. However, all these turned out to be unfounded! I had the battery replaced all in under 10 minutes and it fitted perfectly without any issues what so ever. My previous battery was only lasting 30 minutes before running out of charge. After a full charge with the new battery, I've been using my laptop for around two hours and it's still 77% charged! Fantastic replacement battery and wish I had done it sooner.

This batteries inside works as intended but the assembly has to be modified before it can be used.The cable from the original battery needs to be swapped to the aftermarket battery. This cable is an EXACT fit (no slack).The factory battery assembly has a rounded corner as shown in the photos. The supplied battery does not have this corner, resulting in the battery being too short to reach the connector on the motherboard.I had to modify the aftermarket battery with my penknife to get it to fit! not ideal!

This battery was a perfect replacement for my Dell. Lasts TWICE as long as my original battery.Minutes to install! Loving it!
