Size up for perfection
I ordered the suede ones, and thanks to a friend I knew to get a whole size larger than usual. These boots are awesome, they are very warm, waterproof, and very comfortable for walking the dog in snow and ice. I’ve worn them almost daily for several weeks now, and it got as cold as -4° C here. I can go through 5-8” high snow, and not once have my feet gotten cold or wet. Well worth the investment. They also look fairly fashionable, are not heavy or bulky at all, no don’t seem to slip on ice.

Happy with the color and style, runs small
Like the style a lot. One thing I have noticed with several of my Sorel boots is that the crown (if I am labeling it correctly) is too short in relation to the collar. This probably makes the boots easier to put on and take off - but it feels awkward when you walk because there is a lot of space between the front of your shin and the crown of the boot for your foot to move around in... it’s hard to explain but I have this same problem with two other Sorel boots - and I do NOT have skinny calves. The flat part of the boot (over the top of your foot) needs to continue for another two inches - before becoming the shaft of the boot (against your calf). It doesn’t seem as bad on this pair as some of my others... but it is still an issue. I love the way they look and they are comfortable. They run small. I am a 10.5 and I ordered an 11. Snug but they will work.Overall I am happy with them out of the box - have not worn them anywhere yet.

Love Sorel Boots!
I love my Sorel boots! I have another pair in a slightly different style that I've worn for a couple years. Sorel is so worth the money (and I do not typically spend a lot of money on shoes). These boots are amazingly warm and comfortable. Not heavy or clunky. (I have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable for me...mainly the way they feel on the soles of my feet. Can't wear most shoes that normal people find to be just fine and even comfy!) I can wear my Sorels all day. I can even wear them in the rain and my socks/feet stay dry!I wanted to share that like other reviewers said, this style does run small! I am typically a 5.5. Every once in a while a 6. I ordered the 6 and it was too short. Had to get a 6.5. I have an average width foot and the width on these is good for me.

Functional and stylish
These are great for living in a city that gets a lot of snow (Minneapolis) but aren’t big and clunky like a regular winter boot. Very warm, incredibly comfortable, and my feet don’t overheat in them if I decide I want to wear them all day, which they are definitely cute enough to do! I’ve trudged through deep snow in them, shoveled, and played with my kid in the snow and never felt wetness soak through onto my feet. Great purchase, worth the money, and will buy more in the future though I think these are going to last a long time!

Quality, but runs a little tight!
My girlfriend is a 5.5 in all of her shoes. I got a 5.5 for her in these and they ended up hurting her feet after walking in them for a couple hours. I am going to try and return forA half size up. (Especially since she wants to wear with a thicker sock.Besides sizing these boots are incredibly made.Very warm, stylish, and comfortable once the appropriate size is ordered. My girlfriend absolutely loves them!

Amazing boots, buy these!
I read many reviews before I bought these boots. I bought these during a sale in Feb 2020. Here is my take on what a lot of people have said:1) Size: I am normally a size 7-7.5. based on the reviews I bought an 8, I am very glad that I did. It fits great. So, size up!2) Material: several people talked about how they thought the material was very flimsy. So, the material on these boots is not the same stiff leather that is present on Sorel's more classic style of boot. I am sure glad it isn't. It is soft and pliable. But I would not call it flimsy. It is real leather and wool. Very good quality, and perfect for when you are tying and untying the boots3) Warmth: People who say these boots aren't warm, I have no idea what they are doing. My feet were honestly almost sweating wearing them on a sunny (but cold) day. Plenty warm. And I am a very cold person. My feet are almost always cold.

Sorel Explorer Joan ...size up
LOVE THESE!!! But these are my second pair I had to send back the ones I ordered from REI. Too small. I wanted them quick so I tried Amazon prime. BINGO. First let me say Sorel NEEDS TO STEP IT UP AND PAY ATTENTION to the "too small" complaints from consumers. Every website I looked at reviews and almost all said their normal size ran small and to order up a half to full size up ( but stubborn me had to try my normal size and see for myself) Now I'm normally a size 11. Had to order a 12. As a woman first of all to have to wear an 11 is hard enough but to go up to a 12 was having to swallow my pride. I tried them on.. I had plenty of toe room and can easily wear a thick sock (hence the alittle bigger sizing on the graph above) But having a hard time getting past the 12 thing. I told my husband well you married ""Sasquash" and my sweet husband said "stop! You look cute in them..I like how they look" 🧡 and they do feel comfortable. I'm heading out to Costco later to give them a test run. Hope my review is helpful for someone 😁

Love this boot! Go a half size up.
Oh my goodness, so comfortable right out of the box - happy feet :-) Normally wear a 6.5, had to order a 7 but the 7's are perfect. I can wear a thin or thick sock comfortably. The laces can be loosened or tightened to best fit your foot and ankle so they bend with your ankle comfortably when you walk. Just received them last night so I've only walked around the house and yard so far but am so excited about the boot that I wanted to write a review right away :-) Ladies, if you want a more streamlined look (which I did) swap out the laces for black round 54" boot laces - makes a really big difference in the overall appearance (not so wide looking) Both laces look cute - the ivory laces have a higher profile look - if you have long, thin legs, the ivory laces are probably cuter. If your legs are "less long and thin" like mine, the black laces are more flattering IMHO. Get these boots, get outside and enjoy!

The Right pair is a bit tight & slightly darker shade/ "tracking Information" not updated
Got the quarry/black color.. SHoe has both same size 6 but when I tried it the Left pair is a bit tight and slightly darker shade compared to the Right pair. The parcel arrived 2 days early but the "tracking package" information was not updated..It says item still on "Shipping" while in fact it was already delivered.

Wonderful boots - just be savvy with the sizing
I LOVE these boots. They are generally well made, warm and super comfy. I can wear them all day and my feet stay warm, and don't ache or feel uncomfortable. Yes, if you need good arch support, these will probably not be supportive enough, but if that's not a problem for you, they might just be OK for you. Much has been made in the comments about the disparity in sizing but there are a few easy ways to resolve this.1. DO NOT REFER TO THE SIZE CHART IN THE IMAGES - it is inaccurate. Only refer to the Sorel size chart underneath the pictures or on the Sorel website.2. Use the cm/inches guide to work out what size shoe is right for you, not just the UK/EU/USA standard measurements. To get this right, measure the length of your foot using the Sorel guide. Then, based on your foot length, identify what should be the right size for you. However...3. Do apply some common sense based upon what you know works best for your feet. E.g. My feet are 24.5cm long and the Sorel guide indicates that a UK6 should fit. HOWEVER - I dont like having squished up toes and so vary in shoe size between UK5 to UK6.5 depending upon the shoe. So, I ordered a UK6.5 based on what I felt would be suitable. They fit perfectly and I can wear one or two pairs of normal thickness socks with them, depending upon the need. I would add that my feet are D width which is generally considered average. However, if you have particularly wide feet, or want to wear thicker socks, I would suggest you size up a bit more. Now I have these I really don't know how I've managed without a pair before! They are my new winter favourites. If I could wear them all day, every day, I would.

Love these Boots!
Size up! I normally wear an 8; I bought size 9, which fit well with regular socks but not bulky socks.Sizing issues aside, I really like these boots. They are comfortable, warm, and cute. I'd rate them about 85% for grip on ice. I got some cleats to strap on them next time it's icy here. I've only had them just over a month, so it's far too soon to comment on longevity.
