Product says it takes 12-24 hrs to expand but it actually did it faster. If you want them to last longer you have to keep a bit of water with them. Loved them! Everyone complimented our center pieces and actually believed it was honey. They are super pretty!!

I saw a lot of people complaining about the small size, but I think they misunderstand the product. The beads are meant to be put in water, in which they will expand to their full size. Before being rehydrated, they are the size of poppyseeds, and after which they are a few cm wide. They work exactly as they should, and a lot come in the pack, so it’s good value for your money.

This product is very small. The Amazon picture displays as if the item is small marble size. The size is of a piece of lint. I returned the product as it is not what I wanted or shown on the site. If you are shipping something small, you can utilize the product to ensure safe shipping.

I used these for a display in my home. It turned out very pretty. Add water and the beads swell. I received so many pueces in this pack. I will order again.

After soaking in water, the yellow ones are extremely pale yellow. Adding yellow food coloring to the water helped.Even so, these things have an interesting property. If they are under water, they are virtually invisible. You'd think they'd show up a yellow orbs, but what you see is water that's slightly yellow and virtually no hint of anything round. I mean it makes sense, once they swell up they're 99% water and they don't refract light differently than water does, so of course they're not going to be visible. But it's an eerie effect - it looks like it's just a vase full of water even when the vase is mostly full of spheres.Outside of water, they're quite visible - given some food coloring, they look more or less like the photo.This means you can do interesting tricks. Stick a rose in the vase and fill it with spheres and then add water, and the rose appears to stand up as if by magic; the spheres holding it straight aren't visible. For my application the affect is annoying, but it's probably ok for most people.Note that if they aren't submerged in water, they will eventually dry out and shrink again, though not quickly.

The media could not be loaded. They do arrive as micro beads. But if you follow the instructions and submerge them in water, they swell and fast. Instructions say a few hours up til 13 hours. Mine had swell large enough within 30 min.Definitely worth the $7.

Smaller tan seed beads. I thought the picture was deceptive.
