Works great now that I figured out some minor issues with setup and dimming issues with our led string lights. First, setup was posing problems as I have duel band wifi router. You must make sure the device used to perform the initial setup for the smart switch is using the 2.4GHz band or it won't communicate with the device. I had to setup a "guest network" on my router on 2.4GHz to do this. Once setup is completed, you can switch your device back to normal. Secondly, the dimmer wouldn't work. I have 48 led lights on my string that are only 1 watt each so the total wattage was not enough to allow the dimmer to work. Solved this by switching one led light with a 25 watt incandescent bulb and now they dim perfectly. Sharing this to help others who may experience the same issues and get this switch working as intended.

I purchased TECKIN smart Wifi Plug-in to control my outdoor string lights. The product is delivered in time by Amazon. It hardly took less than 5 minutes to configure the switch to my wifi. I can now control the brightness and set schedule to turn on/off my string lights using the app. I feel that it helps in reducing the electricity bill by setting up the schedules. I am impressed with the product and definitely recommend it.

My plan was to use this dimmer to add 2 sets of LED string lights in my backyard along the fence. The Smart Life app was easy enough to setup and add the dimmer. (I've used it before for other devices.) It worked great! I could control them with phone, and the dimming feature worked well.I was so pleased I decided to added two more sets of string lights. These were low wattage (1.5) LED bulbs, and well within the 150 watt limit the dimmer specifies for LED lights. That is when I ran into problem. The dimming feature stopped working. The lights looked like they were at maximum brightness and it couldn't be dimmed. :-( I unplugged the two additional sets of lights and it started working again. I tried it with 3 sets..... this caused an issue where the lights could be dimmed, but they started rapidly flashing. I tried all the basic steps to correct this, but I couldn't.I decided to return this unit and try a higher wattage one, (Aoycocr dimmer two plug version) and this solved my issue. Worked great with all four string lights attached, no flickering or dimmer problems. :-)My advice, If you have one or two sets of string lights, this dimmer will likely work for you. If you have numerous string lights, (3 or more) you may want to look elsewhere.

Once you get this device configured, it works like a champ. There are two problems: 1) the setup is awkward at best and requires that BOTH the cell phone app and the device be on the wi-fi network. To get the device on the network, it MUST be able to get an IP address over DHCP. Most people probably have DHCP configured by default, but I don't have DHCP running on my network, so I had to set that up first. Once the device was connected to the network and cell phone app, dimming didn't work with my LED bulbs. Others have complained about this. The weird SOLUTION is to replace ONE of the LED lamps with a conventional incandescent bulb. With that in place, everything behaves as expected. I would recommend you look for a dimmer with a Bluetooth interface so you don't have the WiFi issues, including having to enter your password. In summary, demerits for botched setup process and for a design error that doesn't work with 100% LED lighting.

Great product! Turns on and off the lights with Alexa with easy. I plan to buy more for my holiday lights!

This device has a RTL based chip that can't be flashed with Tuya Convert. Note to manufacturer...if you want to sell more products, stick to the ESP82xx Tuya chips as the DIY folks will buy a lot of these but instead now we will put this on our lists to not buy it.

I love this product! I've spent 3 days using it on multiple items indoors and out. It arrived quickly, packed professionally, and is the kind of quality I've come to expect from Teckin. I have it scheduled to provide soft light during the evening and early morning and brighter light during my active hours. Good product for my pergola string lighting! I am able to ask Alexa to turn on my Pergola lights and also automatically turn on after sunset and off a few hours after sunset. Works great with Alexa.The dimmer works good until about 50ish percent. Which honestly is expected with most LEDs. LEDs just don't dim very low. But before 50% it works great!The box is very well made and I'm not worried about water getting into it all. Only had it for about a week, so I cannot confirm it'll last, but really feels like it'll last.I recommend this product!
