SwirlyGig SG1000 Original Drink Holder for 1/2 Tubing, Black

This holder is definitely sturdier and better-made than I expected, and its generous size allows it to hold lots of different container sizes. About the closest thing to a drawback I can think of is the fact that, in my particular application, I can't quite bring it fully vertical, but that's so minor I don't even worry about it. This thing will last longer than I will, without a doubt.

These things have been around a LONG time and continue to be the industry standard for a reason. They do exactly what they are designed for. I'm on my gazillionth swirly gig and I'm sure I'll purchase many more throughout my music career. They're kinda like cheap sunglasses. Disposable when you leave them on a stand. No big deal...

It fits my mic stand shaft as well as my cymbal stands. It’s simple, straightforward and works. No sliding down the stand but easily adjusts on your stand so it will be where you want it. I bought one for my club rig, drum rig and acoustic rig.

I bought this for use on a sheet music stand. It fits rather snugly on the post which extends out from the music stand base. I have a Manhasset, tried it on a Wenger as well. It stays in place OK, but it's so tight it doesn't sit at the desired angle. Still works fine for something with a lid. The only issue I have is that it is awkward to get at it that high up on the music stand. I purchased one of the larger (1-inch) ones so I can mount it on the lower part of the music stand and reach it better. However that one needed some extra plasti-dip or tape to fit tight enough so it doesn't wobble on down to the floor. The quality of the material and the build is good. It's heavy duty stuff. But I just don't think it works great for music stands without a little tweaking. I'd go for the 1-inch one instead of the half-inch and mount it lower, just add some electrical tape to the part which hooks on your stand.I uploaded a picture of it hanging on my Manhasset stand at home.

I'm a gigging musician and I have this permanently mounted to my mic stand. My wife got one for her mic stand as well and my father bought one to put on his walker when he got his knee replaced.

I was worried. Would this fit on my mic stand? Would it be easy to use? Would it stand up to the rigors of live stage performance? Would it hold bottles and pint glasses equally as easy and make it easy for me to grab a drink from and replace? The answer live music and stage performers is a resounding YES!

As a professional musician I always like the option of having a beverage on hand during a show. From the large glass of ice water from the bar or a chilled bottle of water I take to outdoor shows this holder does the job. It attaches easily to the upper (thinner) portion of a mic stand and holds firmly in place and within easy reach. I've watched too many acts spill a drink on stage and this pretty much eliminates that possibility. I have seen some folks try to balance cocktail and wine glasses in these and I'd caution against that. Other than that this is a must have for the working musician or open mic host wishing to make life easier for someone on stage.

A great item. Easy to use. Wonderfully useful. Just be sure your stand has ½" tubing available to hook on to. Takes a minute to figure out how to secure the 'swirlygig' to your stand, but when you succeed, it's very smooth to do it again.
