Cut & Assemble Plains Indians Teepee Village (Dover Children's Activity Books)

I purchased these for my 5 year old niece. They are way too difficult for her to assemble. In fact, it took 3 adults a frustrating amount of time just to make the teepees! There are no easy lines for kids to cut on, and there are tons of little pieces. We ended up stapling them together, because glue would not work. Older children may enjoy them, and they do look authentic. However, I would not recommend them as a project for young kids.

This is a parent /child project. It involves a lot of paper cutting, and tiny bit of gluing.We had fun. The designs are nice and led to some conversation about native American history and culture.

Our whole family cut out and assembled this project, from grandparents down to children. Not too hard and not too easy for us. The teepees and figures meant that each person could cut out several standalone items, rather than just cutting out a roof or wall from a more complicated book. The standup figures added a lot. All of the artwork was of very good quality and seemed to me to have taken quite some time to research and come up with this. Cardboard of good quality, and instructions were clear. Very happy with this. Item delivered in timely manner and in great condition.

My 2nd grade son had a 3-D shoe box project and it came out great; it looked so real the village.

These "Easy to Make" books are wonderful. I'm certain that children would find them fun to put together and educational. I would like to see some informative text regarding the subject for the purpose of educating. My purpose in purchasing the books is to find ideas and patterns for unusual Gingerbread Structures. (Instead of the usual candy-covered entries.)

A easy project for the K through 3rd grader, realistic and accurate enough to be used for a teaching tool

4 small teepees, 1 large. Very easy to put together, and not much room is needed. I had(and still am having) a lot of fun with it. Appropriate ages are about from 6-10.
