If you like having lit candles but not the worry of forgetting to blow them out, take a look at these candles. I first saw a similar product at Pottery Barn for well over $50 per candle and was totally fooled from 10 feet away that I was looking at a real candle. At 5 feet away you'll still do a double take but at 2 feet away you'll understand this is only a good fake. In addition to a flickering glow, these candles incorporate a fake flame that really dances in a manner remarkably similar to a real open flame. These candles are made of real wax and are shaped just as shown so that the flame is really only visible from one direction. I put them on my mantle and they look fantastic. A couple of noteworthy items:Pros:The candles are quite bright with fresh batteries and the flame detail is quite realistic.I like the timer option which allowed me to turn them on once at dusk and now they turn on at the same time every day for 5 hours.My candles just passed 3 weeks on one set of batteries (running 5 hours/day) and still look good although the brightness is diminishing.Shipping was fast and customer service great. One candle I received ate through a new set of batteries in one day. I contacted the seller and a replacement was sent, no questions asked.Cons:Only that they require batteries but you know that going in.If you like decorating with candles, I highly recommend you check these out. Particularly if you're looking at these candles from some distance, they are surprisingly realistic.

I bought these and took them to work because candles add softness to the office atmosphere which can be harsh under florescent lighting. I wish these candles came in other colors because white is a bit bland for me but I do like them anyway. As far as how the product works, they are great. The remote control is fantastic. I especially like the way the flame waves around as if they are real. I have often had an office "tattle taler" come and inform me that I should not be using candles in the building. I giggle when I tell them to take a closer look and they walk away embarrassed for the interruption they just caused. I do wish these were wired or had an "auto shut off" instead of running on battery because I often accidentally leave them on leaving me with no ambiance until I replace the batteries. Overall this is a great product.

I fell in love with Pottery Barn flameless candles but couldn't justify the price and spent a lot of time comparing reviews of flameless candles on Amazon and decided this one was a very low cost with a decent review so I'd give it a shot since it didn't cost much. I'm very happy to report the candle is great. The fake flame really moves and creates shadows just like a real one would. Just like any other flameless candle if you really look you can tell it's fake but from a distance it looks like the real deal and I would wager in most situations a person isn't going to stare at your flames to see if they're real or not. The glow is very bright, it also lights up about the first upper half of the candle which is made of wax for an even more realistic look. The candle has an on setting or a 5 hour timer setting, no remote. I would have no hesitations buying this brand again and have stopped looking at the more expensive brands, this is enough for me and I'm picky.

These are fun and very convincing as real candles. Even though I know they aren't, they are so good at imitating the real thing that I kind of forget they aren't the real thing. The remote is very easy to use for on and off, but we can't get the dimmer to work. So I have no idea how "dim" compares to just on and off, but the random movement of the flicker mechanism is fine as is. Also, they have a wax exterior, and it adds to the effect of them being real. After reading reviews about the larger battery version, that is what we ordered and we are pleased. I just wish that they made a greater variety of diameter and height candles. I would have these in lots of other places in the house.

These are amazing! They are so realistic looking that I've actually caught myself being hypnotized by the "flame", much like with real candles. I just ordered a bunch more: a second set of these, some votives, and tapers. I can't speak for battery life or timer features yet, as today is my first time using them. But the remote turns them on and off perfectly (and works on other remote controlled candles, as well - I was able to turn two sets on at the same time with one remote). I don't really like the "candle" feature. It doesn't look natural, more like a flash than a flicker. But when you just turn it on to its automatic setting, it flickers very naturally. You can adjust the brightness easily, but I like them as bright as they'll go. They really are so gorgeous! And it's so comforting to know that I don't have to worry about burning my house down!!! I love these so much and highly recommend them!

Very recently my four-legged child crossed the rainbow bridge, and within a couple days I had to put aside my grief and return to work. Although some may say it's best to leave the grieving at home, I wanted to memorialize him somehow while I was at work as well, since I spend so much time there. I have a photo of him alongside one of my former dog who also passed, up on a shelf in my office. Wanting so badly to light a candle next to it but not being able to lest I accidentally burn the whole building down, I found this frameless candle on Amazon. The flame looks real and ever so slightly illuminates my dogs' photos. It may sound ridiculous but it's been wonderful being able to do something every day in the workplace that shows no matter where I am or what I'm doing, they're in my thoughts. Great item for places that don't allow open flames or where an open flame creates too much a risk.
