One of the most moving and memorable stories of empowerment I’ve read. Ron shows how empowerment doesn’t just free workers, it empowers their leaders, aligns the entire company, and changes lives.Ron starts by relating his rough business journey, which I found entertaining. Some reviewers didn’t like this, but I loved hearing his “why” and how uncertain and scary the change was without a clear roadmap to guide him.The book also taught me valuable new tools even though I’m no novice (having led that kind of change for companies around the world). The Task Mapping concept is sheer brilliance. Auctioning unwanted jobs to the organization made me smile and wish I’d thought of it. And his negotiation and sale at 24x EBITA drives home the point that empowerment isn’t just a nice thing to do, it’s a high-ROI investment.Highly recommended.

... like a lot of leadership books, there's a bit of a vanity play here. Specifically, roughly the first 40-50 pages are all about Ron. His back story is pretty amusing, but it may not be everyone's cup of tea. In addition, there's little in the way of hands-on guidance; users will need to figure out how to bring this kind of change alive in their organization on their own. Even so, this is a quick, easy read and definitely a decent primer (and potential motivator) for anyone who feels compelled to shake up their organization and its culture.

I specifically liked the last 2 parts best. Especially the author talking about his personal development and his role and take on the sale of the company is interesting to read.

Honest, genuine and authentic. A great roadmap to grow a company or a team inside an organization. Ron shares tools you can use immediately to help your team.

Ron Lovett tells a very inspiring story of entrepreneurship, resilience and tapping into the brain of your team members! A must read fir any business owner looking at the future of their company.

Excellent must read book for anyone who wants to build a great company of outrageously empowered team members committed to transforming an industry.

Very helpful and insightful read. Little gems throughout that I could implement immediately. Something I’m currently considering is the unlimited vacation...I’m sure my managers won’t have any issues with it :)

Great read for the entrepreneur that has a growing company. Most business books are filled with a bunch of useless info about how great the author is... this one is very good with minimal author bs

As an aspiring business owner and entrepreneur in training, I found this book to be extremely valuable. It does deliver on its promise to explain to the reader many different ways to create employees who care. It is a straightforward, and entertaining read.

For anyone who wants to see how integrity and potential work together to create a winning business(or life for that matter) then this is your go-to book!
