BloemTerra Plant Saucer Tray 13" Terra Cotta

I use to be able to go to Kmart and buy these dishes for around $5. Those days are gone. These dishes were the only ones I found that were deep enough to hold water for the Gamble's quail. These dishes are sturdy enough for the quail to stand on the edges and drink. I would definitely buy these again.

I use this in concrete water bowl for birds. Easy to clean.

It seems the seller noted others’ complaints and might be sending trays that measure more correctly although they are still labeled with the “incorrect” size.I noticed this true size versus labeled size disparity is very common and believe this might be because these trays are designed to fit inside a decorative planter the size that the tray is labeled and the labeled size does not actually indicate the true size of the tray itself.Anyway, I took pics with measurements to help people decide. Again, I ordered the 13” and received a tray labeled 14. The top measures 13” and the bottom measures 11.5”.At this point I wouldn’t know what to expect when ordering!! I ordered the 13” thinking it would be about 1.5” smaller on the bottom judging based on others’ reciews - so it would fit my planter. That was not the case and it won’t fit my planter whatsoever. Oh well...

I have some potted plants underneath an avocado tree, and the previous clay saucers got nailed by falling avocados, which is why I chose plastic. The item arrived thick and sturdy-feeling. I will see how it stands up to outdoor use and whether it becomes brittle over time.

I only have balconies for plants and I love my outdoor containers. I have to have many plant plates since I live on the second floor and sometimes the neighbors do not like the runoff from watering. These are better than clay and more durable than the hardware store inexpensive, flexible plastic ones. I have to buy both due to the cost. These are good for large containers because they hold the water and can be easily moved with the pot.

trays are ok, but shipped in a thin plastic bag rather than a box. one was slightly dented.

Great for using under my large pots!

The base is 1/2” larger than listed in the description. Be careful - if you are using this in a plant stand it might not fit.
