The Best Vacuum You Will Ever Need
I have read lots of reviews from other people about the plus and minus of these vacuums. I am hear to share with you, this is the vacuum you will be very very happy to live with and use for years to come. It is quiet, has incredible suction and just works. For all the people out there who have complained this vacuum is to heavy, oh please. Quality is sturdy and has some weight to it. You will be very very happy when you buy your own.

Expensive but great vacuum
Little skeptical about dropping this much $ on a vacuum after having a Dirt Devil canister for 8 years, but this is worth it. House is much cleaner than before. Suction is powerful but quiet. The bag and double filter help keep vacuum fumes from filling the area. I've used it for a couple months now, no complaints. Light and easy to carry down the stairs, bags easy to change out, has all the attachments you would need for carpet, wood floors, couch cushions, window blinds and breaks down for easy storage too. I would highly recommenced buying the bundle with extra bags and filters.

Bag valve not functioning
The vacuum bag is not sealing. The valve into bag is not opening while vacuuming. All dirt/lint/nastiness gets sucked into bag compartment but not bag. The filter is all clogged and I am waiting for the engine to blow. I have replaced bag several times and this has happened every time I vacuum.

Miele is high end brand
Miele is a great high end brand. This is my second Miele and I got the compact since I live in a condo. Simple operation and easy to move around plus the color fits in with my furnishings.

Terrible design flaw that renders this vacuum cleaner useless
The reason you are looking at spending a fortune on a top of the line Miele vacuum is probably because you care about the indoor air quality of your living space and you are trusting the HEPA-based Miele will do that for you as you clean. And maybe with other Miele models you would be right. Unfortunately, this model has a design flaw that often causes the bag to slightly eject whenever you open the bag compartment to check on it. So you need to be aware of that and ALWAYS push the bag back into its holder fully before re-closing the bag compartment. And why would you be opening the bag compartment to check on the bag, you ask? You would be doing that because half of the time you use this vacuum cleaner, the gasket in the bag does not line up properly with the hose causing some portion of the dirt and lint to empty into the chamber itself instead of the bag. This means you will spend hours having to clean out the inside of your expensive vacuum cleaner and replace all of the filters and hope that the initial drive filter protected the internals from all of that dust.I have used my Miele C3 Complete just a dozen times now, and this has happened to me on 6 occasions already. That represents at least 6 hours of my life cleaning out the vacuum cleaner after cleaning my house. Even worse, it means I can't trust it to work properly whenever using it and I have not found any fool-proof solution (yet) to keep this from happening, even while ensuring the bag is seated properly in its holder. And yes, I am only using Miele branded GN bags and all Miele filters on the unit. This is the most expensive vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. It is easily one of the worst I have ever owned for this one reason. I don't care how great the suction is or how lightweight or quiet it is (all of which is true, which is why I give it 2 stars instead of 1) when the ONE job it has to do is a FAIL 50% of the time. It makes me dread using it. And yet I continue to do so because I can't afford to buy another one.Do yourself a huge favor and research this (there are youtube videos on it) and either buy another Miele model--hoping it won't have this issue--or else buy another brand altogether.

Like a performance car, both good and bad.
It's like a high end performance vehicle. High design, high performance, but not necessarily in a good way.First the good: high power, accessories work well, it's not terribly loud, it has received high ratings for the triple filtration, it is sleekly designed. The wheels are like spinner luggage. The long cord means that it has a long reach. The beater head is adjustable and powerful, and the suction strength is adjustable. It worked very well to vacuum my velvet curtains. Now the bad: it's a canister vacuum, which means means you need four hands to operate it. It's recommended that you extend the long cord to its full extend to avoid overheating (it pumps out a LOT of heat), and it has a good length to the hose. You really need one hand to manage the cord because of all that length, so you don't roll over it, trip over it or get it caught in the beater brush, or when you are backing up. You need one hand to move the cannister - again, backing up is easy to trip over, to get caught on the cord, or even to flip the cannister upside-down, and with the on-off switch on the canister, it means you have to flip it back over while the unit is running before you can turn it off. You need one hand to handle the hose, which twists and curls easily and needs two hands to unkink. You need one hand to maneuver the awkward and heavy floorhead, which doesn't fit under my furniture (the Dyson did).Your need four hands to move all these things around without tripping or tangling. You have to be very gentle with the power switch which is on the cannister to avoid breaking it, but too gentle and it doesn't do it. To use your foot to do it, you have to balance on one foot and gently tap the switch with your other foot. Maybe a couple times if you are too gentle. Don't confuse it with the other switch which will retract the cord. It's hard to change the heads. To get the handle to recline, you have to stomp pretty hard on the lever, and there are a number of different levers to operate with your foot (i.e. to detach the head, or change the beater height), so you have to be careful not to hit the wrong one. You have to be careful to balance the handle upright or the whole thing falls over. You have to stomp pretty hard on the lever to detach the head if you want to change to an accessory. The accessories are stored on the cannister, which is nice, but so tightly designed that you have to very carefully put the pieces back in or the lid doesn't close. To change from the floorhead to an accessory, you bend down to turn the machine off, then bend down to pop the lid and get the accessory and close the lid, stomp on the lever to take off the floorhead, attach the accessory, bend down to turn the unit on again. The lid is rather fragile, and seems easy to break. It is not a machine to go easily from hard surfaces to carpeting. The filter bag seems to leak, thus the need for a motor protection filter (mine got clogged after two uses). I'm not sure how effective the HEPA filter is for this reason.Overall, be prepared to do a LOT of bending and stooping, to change the heads, to turn on/off, to change the power settings, to manage the cord, to manage the hose, to manage the canister, to change the filters. Backing up is a pain (to manage the cord, hose, canister and floorhead all with two hands).
