A Culinary Adventure for Anime Lovers!
I recently purchased "Cook Anime: Eat Like Your Favorite Character—From Bento to Yakisoba: A Cookbook" for my wife, who is not only a huge anime fan but also an avid cook. I was a bit hesitant at first, wondering if the recipes would be complex or if they would truly capture the essence of the anime dishes we’ve seen on screen. However, I can confidently say that this cookbook has exceeded all of my expectations! From the moment my wife opened the package, her excitement was palpable. The cover art is vibrant and captivating, setting the tone for the culinary adventure inside. The layout of the book is user-friendly, making it easy to navigate through the different sections. Each recipe is accompanied by beautiful photos that not only highlight the final dishes but also evoke the spirit of the anime they’re inspired by.One of the features I loved is how the book is organized by themes and characters, so you can cook meals that correspond with your favorite series. My wife immediately gravitated towards the "My Hero Academia" section, where she found a recipe for Katsudon—a beloved dish of one of the main characters. The ingredients were easy to find, and the instructions were clear and straightforward. She whipped it up in no time, and I can honestly say it tasted just as good as any Katsudon we’ve had at a restaurant! What impressed me most was how this cookbook is not just a collection of recipes but also a journey through the various elements of Japanese cuisine. My wife enjoyed learning about the cultural significance of each dish, which added depth to her cooking experience. The book includes helpful tips about traditional Japanese cooking techniques and the importance of presentation, making every meal feel like a special occasion. We’ve tried a variety of recipes together, from simple bento boxes to more intricate ramen dishes. Each recipe has turned out delicious, and as my wife says, cooking them feels like stepping into the anime world. It's become a fun weekly ritual for us to choose a dish from the book and recreate it while binge-watching our favorite anime series.I’d also like to mention that this cookbook is great for all skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned chef or someone just starting in the kitchen, the instructions are accessible and allow for creativity. My wife has even started experimenting by adding her own unique twists to some of the recipes, inspired by dishes we've seen in different anime shows. In summary, "Cook Anime: Eat Like Your Favorite Character" has been a delightful addition to our kitchen. It has sparked joy and creativity for my wife and deepened our appreciation for both cooking and anime. If you're looking for a gift for an anime lover in your life or just want to add some fun and excitement to your cooking routine, I highly recommend this fantastic cookbook. My wife loved it, and I know you will too!

One of the best otaku cookbooks ever!
Ok where to begin with this cookbook, cause it's not like the others I've gotten...Well first off I like how the recipes are from actual anime, and even highlights what anime it's from. That's a nice touch.Next there's the little facts that give you information about the food you're making and some history behind it. Like for example, those checkerboard cookies? I didn't know that they originally had came from another country. I had always thought they were from Japan. I saw them in an episode of Lucky★Star once.Next I gotta talk about the most random recipe that I never thought I'd see in a cookbook: Pocky, of all things! I couldn't believe it when I saw it! It's actually quite surprising and awesome that you can now make it in your own kitchen 😎Lastly let's talk about that anime index. I'm basically set for any anime that was referenced in the book. Very thoughtful of the author to include it at the end 👍Final thoughts: if you're an otaku or know someone who loves anime, get this book! It's well worth the price and one of the best I've ever seen! This gets a 10/10 from me! 😁

Anime and japanese food fans will love this
This is an excellently hardcover bound book. It would hurt to be hit with. Honestly its even better in person. Please note this is not an anime cookbook that includes images of the food in anime format. Don't let this deter you. I've been able to explore a plethora of new anime just from going through the recipes alone in this book. Can't wIt to watch them! It is written really well and clear. There are pictures of the actual dishes not every dish though and then the story behind them from the anime its from. There are lots of words too, not a ton of empty space trying to make a book out of nothing.

Me gustó la variedad de recetas. Me gustaría que tuviera más imágenes, especialmente fotos que mostraran los pasos de cada preparación para facilitar el trabajo.

Great recipes!
For some reason, I'm usually really skeptical about recipes from books. There are so many recipes that you can get online so why get books? But I love anime so I thought I'd give this book a try. I have to say so far, I'm very impressed! I've made 3 thongs from the book so far. The nikujaga, mapo tofu, and oden and all of them have tasted really good and pretty authentic! I'm Japanese American so I'm comparing it to my parent's food. Can't wait to try more of the recipes and I would recommend this book to all the skeptics like me!
