Schezuan peppers
I got the spicy hot pot. It had a ton of schezuan peppers that make the soup base kinda hard to drink. The reviews that said it numbed their mouth should be taken with a grain of salt, because that's what schezuan peppers do.Water fill lines aren't in English, but are obvious enough to see. The pickled vegetables had lotus root, seaweed, and cabbage. They were decent enough. The beef tasted fine, but the texture was crumbly, which is strange in a stew.Only reason for 4 stars is the amount of peppers. Perhaps non-spicy flavors don't have this problem.

strange numbness/tingling
I bought this to do a hot pot date night without the expense of going to a hot pot restaurant. We got fresh ingredients to go along with it so we didn't end up eating the pickled veggies that came with - although my husband tried a few and thought they were good. We really wanted to like this because we're both big hot pot fans but there was something off about the broth. It wasn't a spice that we were used to and we noticed that our mouths became tingly and almost numb after eating veggies or meat that we dipped/cooked in it. The numbness would wear off with time, but each bite brought it back. It ruined the flavor of the hot pot and freaked us out because it felt almost chemical, so we weren't able to finish it. We're super bummed because the idea of instant hot pot was so great but we will not be buying again.

Too pricy—-more expensive than restaurant prices
good but too expensive, I saw on you tube someone got them 2 for $10....Trying to find out where. I love semi spicy food but this is punch you in the face spicy!!! It is not a pleasant heat. Its overwhelming, I do love the product but will not order the spicy flavors again, ill order the other flavors and add in my own heat so that I can adjust it to my liking. I do love the vegetables that come with it, lotus root and kelp/seaweed (not sure which one it is) but they are very good!!!

Too expensive for what you pay for
I LOVE hotpot, it’s one of my favorite things to eat and although it did fix my craving the flavor overall isn’t too great for the price that you pay for. It comes with a tasty seasoned meat that you add into the broth which I was pleasantly surprised with. The only thing like I mentioned that I wish was different was the price. It comes with a self heating packet which you put into the water and it heats up pretty quickly after waiting a few minutes. The experience of it is cool but not worth the money to get it regularly

Way too weird for me
The Hotpot tasted floral which was very off putting since I thought it was going to be salty and savory. It also made my tongue numb which made it difficult to taste anything. It seemed like I was just eating hot nothingness with the smell of flowers. I was unable to finish it, only 2-3 bites and I didnt want to eat anymore. The meat tasted ok but the rest was COMPLETELY strange to me. I am new to hot pots and these types of asian foods. The tomato sausage hotpot was more tolerable than the spicy hot pot.

Watch out for veggies and sauce
Really good, the pickled veggies weren't the best, definitely didn't like the lotus roots at all, the noodles were great, just wished it was less tongue numbing spice and more just nice spice.

Did not get hot enough....
I was pretty excited about trying this out. I followed all the instructions putting the heated pad into the water and quickly putting the food in and closing the box. I could hear the bubbling and saw a bit of steam, but it never got hot enough in the sense that everything was luke warm. Made me very iffy about eating it. After waiting for 15 minutes the noodles were underdone and the vegetables were clearly not cooked. I'm not sure if its the product or maybe it was something I did. Might try again but probably not anytime soon.
