Easy to use. Clear sound.
This one works great and can be used on either ear. It's powered by battery which is included in the package and you don't need to buy. The result is good and not much noises. It's easy to adjust the volume no comolicated operation needed. Like it very much!

FDA Approved Digital Hearing Amplifier
The product performed as indicated, its FDA approved, the price is acceptable and its was delivered ahead of promised arrival. One point to consider revising, the instrument makes a high pitch note when placed in the ear while the switch its on. The instruction pamphlet indicate that, however, I recomed to make the statement more prominent. ( I almost wanted to return it, but I figured out how to make it work) Other than that, I would recommend the product.

Volume control is impossible to use!! Not a repeat buyer on this item!!
This is not worth the cost or the anticipation-it’s like a cheap toy. More loud noise that you can’t decipher anyway. Volume control is impossible.

What's it like to wear a hearing aid?
I got this hearing aid as a trial—What's it like to wear a hearing aid? Can I manage the tiny device (I'm handicapped in my hands)? How long do the batteries last? Does the hearing aid improve my hearing? How visible is it? (a man with short hair) What are the downsides to hearing aid? What other surprises? ——without spending a fortune (10X) on one of the super-duper versions. (I realize "you get what you pay for.") So, I bought ONE hearing aid for ONE ear that had the beginnings of hearing loss.I was very pleased with this purchase. It worked exactly as advertised. Fit into my ear and stayed there. The little plastic "antenna-looking thingy" rested against the side of my ear canal, and so was not visible (I didn't want to look like an alien with an antenna sticking out the side of my head!), and the little plastic thingy was definitely needed to pull the hearing aid out of my ear. It comes with two batteries (very tiny batteries!). They say the battery should last about five 8-hr days. After wearing it for several hours a day over a week, I'm still on the first battery, so the battery-life estimate seems believable. The plastic box is small and lightweight enough to fit into my pants pocket, in case I want to take it out in the middle of the day. (It's fragile enough that you don't want to just cram it into your pocket.) And with the box, I was able to open the battery cover and carefully close the box, to avoid draining the battery when not being worn—extending the battery life.My hearing is not that bad, so I needed only the lowest volume level. (So, your mileage may vary.) It definitely boosted the volume into my ear. Observations from a first-time hearing aid user:1. As others have pointed out, it boosts the volume of EVERYTHING. So, not only the soft sounds get boosted, but also the loud sounds.2. Also as others have mentioned, there is a constant soft "roar" of white background noise as part of the amplified sound. I suppose I could learn to live with that. Does the roar get louder when you boost the volume? I did not explore that.3. I never appreciated how big a role our ears play in being able to discern the direction of the source of sounds. When I inserted the hearing aid into my one weak ear, I almost lost that directional discernment (or maybe I need to relearn it?) because the hearing aid amplified everything equally and took away the subtle differences I was accustomed to getting between sounds to the front, side, and back.4. I wear foam ear-plugs at night. This hearing aid was as comfortable as the foam ear plugs. But it also gave me the sensation that my one ear was plugged with an ear plug, although the sound was still coming through. Kinda weird.5. As others have noted, there is no On-Off switch. "Off" is achieved by swinging opening the battery-holder. "On" is simply inserting a fresh battery and closing the battery-holder. The only way I found to verify it's "On" is by holding your finger near the little microphone hole, forcing it to squeal (feedback)—easy when it's in your ear!Personally, the device is going in my dresser drawer until my hearing gets worse. But I believe it will serve the purpose if/when that day arrives. And I don't regret giving it a try at this reasonable price (as hearing aids go).
