There are many vent mounted phone holders. The issue that this solves is for the newer heavier phones, the ones that grip on the side either don't hold it tightly enough or are too tight and hard to get out. This mechanism allows you to easily drop in any size phone (better for larger phone) and pop it out. it creates a simple cradle that holds it in place but its not locked in. Its a little wobbly when its mounted but that is probably the tradeoff.The only downside is not due to the device but what kind of vents your car has. I recently got a new car that has circular vents that allow the blades to have a wide range of motion. really can swivel left or right pretty far. Great for blowing air but it means the holder can swing widely if you make a strong turn. So its not locked into place. Not sure what any manufacturer can do but something to think about.

Product arrived quickly & undamaged. Oddly translated description on the box & no instructions, but not difficult to work out. Does what it claims: holds your phone. However, & this is my own fault for not paying close attention, you can't use it horizontally. It's physically capable of doing so, as the clip will swivel to accommodate probably any vent configuration. Unfortunately, you'll note there is no top. So if you put your phone in it & twist it sideways, you'll be fetching your phone from your floormat. Additionally, it doesn't work well if your phone's in a average case/cover. I just have a clear, Lohasic back cover w/finger pop socket & have problems. Other than those 2 caveats, it works well & can have it plugged into the charger while it's cradled. Recommend it if you don't want to use it horizontally or have a thick case. Meanwhile, I'm going to try MacGyver'ing a top part from another phone gadget.....

The mount is pretty good most of the time. It is mostly well designed and is very convenient to use. Plus in the hot sun where I live, my phone gets cooled by AC. However, under heavy acceleration my iPhone 11 with a thin case has fallen out multiple times. The phone slips outwards from the grip of the rubber holders when overcome by the force of acceleration. Also on bumpy roads or speed bumps, I can see my phone loosening up in the holder. I end up having to push my phone back down a lot. I feel it could be a design flaw with thin phones, also just relying on gravity without a spring clamp. If you drive smoothly on smooth roads all the time and don't hold your phone in landscape, you shouldn't have a problem with this mount.

This is a really nice vent phone holder. Lots of rubber to keep phone free from dings and sliding.Benefits to having it: you don't have to deal with adhesive sticky material that dash phone holders have. If you have a phone the heats easily, running the AC while the phone is on the vent holder, will keep your phone cool and stop over heating. However, this might be counter productive when you turn in the heater in the winter months.One problem is that the bottom legs do not fully retract up with I remove my phone. But this is not really a big deal for me. Still great value for the price.

It's not sturdy at all. When I put my phone in it the sides don't snug up all the way because the bottom rings aren't sitting right. I've tried to push it in there further, but it's so wobbly and loose. The clip on part that goes on the vents is like half a inch long so it doesn't even clip on behind the vent blades. This product is trash.

This is great for the bigger iPhones. When I upgraded my phone on my previous it would tilt and be so close to the vent I couldn’t feel the air. It’s easy to install and the holding function is tight on the vent so it won’t fall off. Constructive criticism or be aware: of you have a thick case or pop socket on your iPhone it WILL NOT hold and I recommend continuing to search! Mine with a thin case is sturdy and I like that it holds it away from the vent for better airflow!

I have a Galaxy S8, and when I put my phone in one of the pegs rests against the lock button on my phone. Occasionally I'll hit a bump and the power screen will flash on from the button being held down.Aside from that it's stable and easy to install.

This product it's just amazing. I've been trying different ones and this is the best I found so far. The phone get stuck in the position so it doesn't fall off. It has a good distance from the air vent so it doesn't get too hot when you have the heater. You can choose many and different positions, vertical or horizontal, and facing to you or wherever you want, you really can feel free to put it in the better and safer position. Highly recommend!
