Edit #2: Three years old. Still going strong.Edit#1: 1 Year & 4 Months: It still looks and feels like it did when I bought it. I've forgotten it outside for a couple of weeks on more than one occasion, and it survived Alabama's humidity, sun/heat, rain, my dog, and my kids using it as a swing. It hasn't faded or dry rotted. So, I can now say that it's very durable. Still love it. Nothing I would change about it. 10/10, would buy again.Original Review: Looks as expected. Holds steady with me (200 lb.) swinging in it. I attached the eye to a heavy chain on my sons' 14.5 ft swingset. It's the official babysitter swing. Very comfortable. Easy to get into and out of the seat, if hanging at the appropriate height. The back wall is elevated so you can sit up. But, if you scoot further down, you can recline more. No front/back; it's reversible, so you can approach it from either side. I went w/green, and it looks exactly as pictured. Haven't had it long, so can't speak to durability. I do plan to bring it inside when not in use.

This is the second one I bought. This one for my daughter. Late in the season but now I have all the posts up for both of them and my wife and daughter sit outside to talk and hang together.They love the airyness of the ropes. Doesn't get too hot.I got a swivel so it can turn 360 degrees for the swing just moves with the breeze. If you measure the swing correctly then you can eliminate the chain and first D-Ring. I didn't because I wonder if the chair will stretch since it is rope. So I wanted some extra space to work with between the top of the swing and the 4x4 I hung it off of.

This hammock chair is so comfortable I can't bring myself to get out of it. It can literally lure me in for hours on a sunny day. Everyone that has ever sat in it felt the same way. I highly recommend.

Huge, Comfy, durable, however the wooden spacer-pole that supports this hammock had a small crack during its manufacturing yet the maker finished the product anyway. My hammock is strong at the moment, but make sure there is NO significant crack in the pole when you receive your hammock or it will have a short life.... this is my third hammock of this type ... (first from this seller)

The hammock is big, extremely soft and the weaving doesn't cut into you like other net hammocks I've owned. I can sit in it or stretch my legs out and either way it is sooooo comfortable. The weave is such that if any of the strands break, it might cause a chain reaction of unraveling, but the polyester looks sturdy. I'm going to buy another one so I don't have to share it!Take heed that the loop for hanging at the top is very thick and it was a bit challenging to find a carabiner that would fit in it. Go big on that!

...we had a similar locally hand-made chair hanging from our living room beam for over fifteen years, but had begun to look 'ratty' and faded with holes and loose, broken cords here and there. Upon replacing it with this chair, I realized how old and worn out the old one had become (even though it still worked). This Sunnydaze chair is excellent! I put a stuffed chair pad in (as before) to hold it's seat shape and it works perfectly. It also looks handsome, (although the dingaling-y things on the ends have come off - too 'cute' for my tastes). Bottom line: strong, well made, looks great - it'll obviously last as long as the one it replaced. Highly recommend!

Buyer beware!!! I took the hammock chair out of the box and was on my way out the front door to hang it on a C stand in the front yard. I hadn't even made it off the front porch when the horizontal wooden bar SNAPPED IN TWO. My husband said that, had he not seen it, he wouldn't have believed it. I'm 64 years old, and I'm guessing that, had it broken after placing it on the C stand—with me in it—I might be in the hospital now instead of sitting at my desk. I am so deeply grateful that it cracked before I could ever sit in it. I purchased this hammock chair because of all the great reviews; and, while this may have been a fluke, a one-in-a-million, I would be sincerely remiss if I did not share my experience and forewarn shoppers of the potential danger based on my direct experience. FYI: manufactured in China.

I am not a wide person, but buying this XL Hammock Chair was a great idea. You don't feel you are tied up in a cocoon, you have plenty of choices for positioning yourself. My head and feet can be fully supported if I wish. My friends said they fell trying to get in/out of this kind of item, but that has never happened for me. It is very relaxing yet supportive. It is cooler than sitting in a patio chair, the breezes blow right through it. The ropes are soft, and it does not get damaged if you leave it out in the rain.

We purchased 2 swing hammock chairs to replace the one swing chair that we purchased about 10 years ago that fell apart after much, much use. The chair was always the most popular place to sit on our deck, so we decided to replace the one chair with 2 new ones. Super soft and very quick delivery. Again, the new hammock chairs are the most sought after place to sit on the deck. Very relaxing!

Seriously.... Seriously soooo comfy. The seat is deep so you can really stretch out. The rope is soft which makes it cozy. I sit in this every day in the summer and sometimes even fall asleep.

The media could not be loaded.  Great looking. Excellent quality.Extra large netting that let's you sit comfortably then stretch out your legs still supported by chair. No complaints at all. Great buy...and zi may have to fill the gap between other trees with more of these for forest bathing sessions.

So good and comfortable, everybody wanted one after using mine.
