TETRA doesn't have an app anymore so it isn't possible to put it on a schedule. You can only use it manually. What is the point of having and automatic feeder, if you can make it automatic? DO NOT BUY THIS! The website says there is not app and to take it back to the store you bought it from because it's not automatic without the application an they don't have one anymore.

This is by far the best fish feeder wi-fi I have bought. The quality of the fish feeder is awesome of ABS material, not that cheap plastic that others fish feeder are made of. The app greeted me with an update 1.03 for better wi-fi connection and the programming is simple. It very reliable and that counts for my clown fishes I have.

I bought this starter kit that included the WiFi feeder and led lights. I set up the tank and finally got the app connected a few days later. The app worked for a day and then it wasn’t connecting to my WiFi. I read on the Tetra help page to uninstall and reinstall. After I uninstalled the app and went to reinstall, the app was no longer available in the App Store. Both the light and feeder depend on the app and there’s no other way to operate them. Absolutely useless!

I downloaded the app (I have an iPhone 7+) and filled in all my information to sign up. Then I tried to sign in so I could set up the wifi feeder. Got a message that my email needs to be confirmed. Two days later, I still haven't received an email so I am stuck. Can't go forward with setting the feeder up. Good thing I have a neighbor that will be feeding my fish when I am not home. And a daughter. But I sure as heck cannot feed them via the app, because I can't get past the sign in page awaiting the email confirmation. I am giving this 3 stars because I don't know if it will work with wifi, but I am pretty sure it will work manually, but what the point is that when I am home? I enjoy feeding my fish by hand. Charlie's Angels come right up to my fingers to get the food and Ruby the betta comes out to greet me every day.

Overall, I am happy with the package. No problem with the tank or the quality of the product. There are issues with the WiFi, but it depends on a few factors. I have a mesh WiFi system that has both 2.4 and 5 G bands. I was having issues connecting and communicating with the feeder and light control (both run on 2.4) After many hours of frustration, I pulled out an older Asus WiFi extender that only operated on 2.4. I set up a separate 2.4 network and tada...all worked.

I went through 4 of these in a two month period - support from Tetra was practically non-existent and non-responsive - big disappointment. The device freezes a lot, so you can't leave it unattended for vacations. Setup is really poor and a hassle. Overall unstable platform and device with no support.

I only gave this 2 stars because as of today, a major function is non existent.The instructions aren’t insanely clear. It doesn’t really tell you where to set this up. The pictures make it look like it’s inside the aquarium, but the instructions also say not to get the device wet. I just set mine on top where it can drop food in a small opening.I can’t get it to connect to the app, I don’t believe that the app is currently set up to function yet with this device. Very disappointing.It does work in manual mode, but I could just feed my fish at that point. Manual mode would be handy if someone was house sitting and you wanted to make sure your fish were fed properly.I’ll happily update this review when the app functions properly.
