Forevercam Aluminum Protective Case Cage for Gopro Hero 8 Black Camera Housing Cover Accessories With 52mm Lens

I use my gopro hero8 for car footage and cycling. The thought of damaging the lens was too much to bear, so I invested in this cage after reading the reviews.It’s a great fit and holds the cam securely.The UV lens can easily be swapped as it is a standard threadOnly downside is the cage adds a little weight to the setup. Not an issue for my uses, but may be a factor for others. I'm happy with the protection it affords my investment.

Very sturdy and excellent protection. Ability to use filters is great.It is a lot heavier than the original or using the plastic cases as a consideration when adding to your helmet mount

I love the sturdiness of this camera cage for my GoPro 8, I use an external battery source with it so I have access using this case. I also brought the side battery lid cover which gives me access to the usb charging port while I film which means I have hours of footage rather then get to my destination and realise the battery had drained. Highly recommend this product and customer service

Wanted something cheap to protw my gopro. Sliding the metal screen on is tight but that's what you want. No complaints here

Item as describe and a quality casing

Only one problem, is doesn’t give you instructions

The cage came in a cardboard box with no instructions, but fairly simple to put together. The material feels good, light, but strong, whilst certain areas were give aways of something made very cheaply, eg. the screw which holds the shoe mount on is deformed, badly machined and kind of goes in a bit wonky.There are 2 major issues and one slight which reduce my rating to 3 stars instead of 4 or 5(for the price)1. There is a short tripod type screw which goes in the side to secure your gopro and prevent it from moving in the cage at all. The only thing stopping it from screwing straight into the gopro is a thin piece of plastic which is kind of glued to the end of the screw with rubbery glue. So if you screw too hard you'll damage your gopro and this small piece of plastic could be easily lost too.2. There is a hole where the front facing mic is, but the lense covers it up. It seems they've tried to compensate by making a bigger hole just below it. Seems like. A massive oversight if you ask me, but until I've used it I can't say. I'll update when I've tried it.3. A lesser issue is that the lense circle is huge and overlaps the front lcd a bit. Not sure that was avoidable or notTo summarise...For the price it's a decent enough cage to protect the gopro, especially the lense which is not changeable on the hero 8. Also it allows for different 52mm lenses, which a lot of cages don't.Gopro now do a cage for the 8, but it doesn't have shoe mounts. They do have the media mod, but that'll set you back £80.

Liked the built in 52mm filter connection. Didn't like that it was so heavy, that there was a screw poking into the side of the camera to hold it in place and really didn't like that it scratched the screen when siding the door up to remove the camera...

Protege muy bien y va genial para utilizar filtros de otras cámaras. Al verlo en fotos puede parecer más ligero pero en mano la sensación y peso que tiene denota más calidad de lo que parece a simple vista. Puede quedar un pelin suelta pero ajustándolo bien no hay ningún problema.

Habe das Produkt erhalten, die Gopro8 passt wunderbar rein. Achtung: Eine Handschlaufenhalterung war an der Seite bereits angeschraubt - Diese habe ich entfernt und oben angebracht, da wenn man diese Schraube fest reingedreht hätte, wäre das Gehäuse der Gopro8 kaputt gegangen, das kleine Plastikplättchen im inneren hätte da auch nix gebracht. Ansonsten ist das Teil robust und im Verteidigungsfall kann man es auch als Morgenstern (am Stativ) oder als Kriegsflegel (an der mitgelieferten Handschlaufe) verwenden :)Der 52mm Ring und der mitgelieferte UV-Filter tun ihr Werk und meine anderen Filter passen auch ohne weiteres drauf. Nichts hatte einen Kratzer oder ähnliches auch wenn der dumme Lieferant das Päckchen in meinen Briefkasten gepresst hat und diesen dabei etwas stark lädiert hat. Ich kann nur meine Kaufempfehlung aussprechen.

An sich an gut gemeinter Artikel. Die GoPro ist auf jeden Fall in diesem Cover gut geschützt.Was mir nicht gefallen hat ist das die Kamera drin am Gehäuse eventuell bisschen verkratzen könnte weil es von innen kein Polster gibt. Beim reinschieben von dem hinteren Deckel hatte ich auch Kratzer bekommen.Der 52mm Filter war bei mir gebrochen. Ich habe es zurück geschickt.
