Okay button mystery
This is the second in her Button Box series. I still have no interest in these buttons. But every writer needs a shtick. This one is set at a button conference Josie is running. There are a number of interesting characters, some repeated and a lot new due to the conference of button enthusiasts. There are also a number of little side plots, although I thought at least two were so obvious, I couldn't understand why Josie didn't figure them out much sooner.I guess that is my biggest problem with the series - Josie. I don't get her behavior toward Kaz. She professes all these boundaries she has set up with him, but always wants to be there to help him out & be helped by him. She enables him & seems to really enjoy their relationship. Which leads me to her relationship with Nev. It never appears to be a relationship, yet it is. I just don't get that part. What guy would put up with that? The relationship portions of the book just don't work.My overall assessment is its an average mystery. If you need something to read, it will do the trick. If you are newer to cozies, there are better ones out there.

A Fun Read at a Convention
This series is improving in my opinion. I enjoyed this tale, the location being a button conference in Chicago, Illinois was colorfully described and made me want to join the dinner cruise etc. The characters were vivid, Josie, our sleuth. Helen the past conference chair who is eager to step in to help. The Key note speaker, Thad who was right out of the west. Then the back and forth from Josie's ex-husband, Kaz and her current boyfriend, Nev, who also happens to be the local detective. The crime was startling and opened many possible suspects to our view for examination. I did feel that it wasn't credible the way Nev brought in Josie to the various crime scenes, but I simply suspended my disbelief and flowed with the story.I give this book a 3-1/2 stars because I really did enjoy reading it. I knew who the culprit was a bit too early but it really didn't affect the story for me as the storyline kept me interested.I look forward to the next book out. Ms. Logan is definitely growing on me.

Button,button,I want more buttons!
Oh yes, having read just one " Button Box" mystery and been all caught up in the "doings" going on at the button convention right under Josie's nose, I must have more! These are the type of well written stories that so intrigue a reader that of course more by the same author will shortly be found on my Kindle! Kaz and Helen and even the dastardly Donovan were very interesting characters and a certain detective made my heart flutter! So, try the series yourself,do not believe you will be disappointed either!

Reading the books out of sequence but loved this one the best so far
I found this to be full of twists and turns; just when I thought I knew who the murderer was, I switched to someone else. Near the end I did guess why the conference seemed to have it's share of issues; however, the murderer eluded me right to the end. I love the way the romance with Nev is slow going; the chemistry is there but things don't just happen all at once. This makes it more exciting.

Fun and convoluted
Lots of fun with this novel. Kaz, of course, is the ever-present complication. Our heroine just can't ignore his neediness and he's so charming. The tale is just convoluted enough to keep the story going. Nev is still a reticent member of the team, but getting closer to our heroine. This is an entertaining, interesting, never boring series. You'll love it.

Good series
Josie is in charge of the national button convention where the obnoxious owner of a Geronimo button is to be the guest speaker. Of course he is killed and things get wild trying to discover who did it. Of course her obnoxious ex is still around getting in the way and someone is sabotaging the meeting, but maybe there is hope for the detective. Good book.

Button Collector Mysteries
I heard about this book on a button blog. I bought it and found it intriguing enough to buy the second and third in the series. I think that tells that the Books are an interesting read. I have read all three of the books in the series and am waiting to see if there will be more..

So so
OK cosy mystery but it does not have any outstanding features. I enjoyed the first in the series but found the rest boring. They follow the same formula as many uninspired books in this genre.
