UpdateUpdated oct 23 The BEST 48V bicycle headlight Turn on/off 3 times for strobe.
Oct 2023 update: 3 yrs later. Still works great on my two eBikes. 48v eBike. Very bright. In the past I have used many USB rechargeable bike headlights. Also bought some 48v headlights that I have returned . I wanted a 48v bike light with focus along way AND a good splash with wider coverage. I ordered this and it came in two days. The first thing I did took off the back cover and made a knot behind the plate to prevent the wires from being pulled out of the light (thanks to one review I read before ordering) . Attached the power wires to the existing 48v bike headlight. Now the new light and the original light work using the original light and horn switch. Very bright lights with great splash.I just used two 1/2 inch longer screws to attach the light to my handlebar close to the stem.Taken a few pictures at night and will try to attach to this review. This is the BEST 48V bicycle headlight.20 w = 48v X 0.5 Ah. or little less current. Thanks to the design engineer.May 2021 update.Turn light on and off thee time for strobe during day time riding to be seen by texting drivers!!I will buy it again for new eBike.

Nice bright light for my ebike
This is a well made headlight that mounted easily on my handlebars.I've wired it to a 12 volt battery so it's completely separate from my 36 volt motor setup. I chose this method to maximize the range of the bike. This is a much better arrangement for me than the USB rechargeable lights I used previously. It's much easier to keep a single 12 volt battery charged up than to plug in multiple USB devices on a daily basis.Try this light. It's a great deal.

Pretty capable light, only running at 10W for me, but it's enough
It's pretty lightweight with very thin metal. Like others I question that it's waterproof so I sealed it with silicone adhesive. It's plenty bright for my electric scooter going 24mph on dark roads, though my wattmeter said it only draws 10 watts. More than twice as bright as a 400 lumen light I have so no major complaints in terms of function. The wide voltage range is awesome, and I wonder if the wattage changes at different voltages. For the record, I am running on a 36v 10s lithium pack. It's possible the thin wires that run to the light through the scooter are limiting its power, as well. Overall a pretty bright solution for the price, just be gentle with it and use care.

10w but great value nevertheless
As with all no name LEDs, light is not 20w. It is 8w give or take. It reaches its peak brightness at around 9 volt, where it consumes 8.5-9w. It likely loses more energy as voltage climbs, as it doesn't get any brighter but consumes more towards 10-11W at 50-60v.The light is not waterproof by any means, but the front glass and reflector are held by the large "cap" that is easily unscrewed. Ran a bead of silicone around the edge of glass, and around the base where threads are should be enough. The radiator seems adequate for amount of heat produced.Overall, unless you want to wait for weeks and have no resources if you're shipped a brick - this is a very good value for money, with fast shipping. Otherwise bicycle lights with similar light output seem to run for much more.

Good light, Good value, 'Waterproof'?? Maybe not
As advertised. Works well at various voltages. Purchased 4 of these lights. After a bench test (28 Volts drew a bit less than 1 Amp), I found that the light COLOR was in the 6000K+ range, to blue for my needs, but the base was exactly what I needed for my outdoor lighting project. I purchased a 'bag' of 5 Watt, 4000K chips (needed 4 per light), removed the chips that came with this light and replaced them with the 4000K chips. I LIKE the heat sink that the chips are mounted to, it is heavy and MORE than adequate for heat dissipation from the LED chips. ( I did apply more heat sink compound to ensure the new chips were able to dissipate the 5 watt heat through the heat sink). After mounting them outside, I found that they ALL LEAKED!!! Rain water pooled inside EACH lens! I 'hot glued' the lens to the bezel to prevent leaking in the future. We have been through numerous storms and a Hurricane (Irma) since then with no leaks. With lessons learned, I will buy these again.

An extremely bright light
I have it hooked up to my ebike. Mostly setup to 48v but have a 36 v battery also that I will be using. The light has a bright hot spot but also has a pretty decent splash. The light is around 5500K to 6000K color and is incredibly bright and after a few complaints both times I rode it, I lowered the beam a bit to avoid blinding drivers and other riders. I only have a few hours of use on the light so I can't comment on durability but I love it. It doesn't even get hot. It wasn't even warm but I'd imagine that it will do so on a hot day.It is a great light and I really recommend it and will purchase a second one for my other bike that I just build. The unfortunate thing is that my new ebike only outputs 6v at 500ma so I will have to purchase a 6 volt relay that connects it directly to the battery. No big deal.

Replaced RadRunner headlight.
I replaced the headlight on my RadRunner which wasn't very bright. This thing is much brighter which means I can see better and be seen better, kind of a win/win. This ships with bare wires so you'll need to cut your old connections and splice them onto this light but it's pretty straightforward and worked seamlessly once I powered it on. Stuck with the handlebar mount but if you wanted to fab something up it would be pretty easy.
