They work great! They are so loud but at night, its a inexpensive way to be alerted to someone trying to open a back door.

Although I have ADT, I wanted an additional layer of protection for my family and myself. These doorstops emit a very loud siren sound and are also a physical barrier against opening any door that they’re paired with. They have a rubber foot (couldn’t think of a better description) that makes it difficult for someone to shove the door open. They do require 9v batteries that aren’t included. I use them throughout my house at night. Just remember that you have set them if you get up at night to get a snack because they’ll definitely wake folks up if you forget. Very easy to use. I would definitely recommend them.

bought this for my relative who traveled a lot before covid hit and wanted an additional door stopper and alarm whenever staying in hotels. when it arrived we tested it on a home door and the alarm was loud enough and the stopper effective.

Will not work as an alarm for doors that open out or pocket doors.

This works as it states. It is very loud even on the low setting. Just be warned that the loud noise can possibly cause temporarily or permanent ringing in your ears due to the high DB of the system, just speaking on experience using the device.

This definitely adds an extra level of security while traveling alone. I hate staying in a hotel by myself due to personal experiences where my safety has been a concern and this helps me sleep at night!IMPORTANT: Take the battery out while traveling. The alarm is loud and will scare the daylights out of you and everyone around you if it goes off in your bag/luggage. LOL Very easy and quite travel when the alarm and the battery are separated while in a pouch or ziplock bag!

If for no other reason I recommend this for peace of mind when traveling. We did an extended European trip staying in several hotels in both big cities and small villages and having this just helped me sleep better. It is really loud, but also a great door wedge to keep any would-be burglars out.In Europe the door and lock quality can really vary so we found this a way to both protect and dissuade. It was very easy to travel with and the value for the money was 100% immediate ROI.

When I traveled last time by myself I used it and it gave me that peace of mind that I was safe. I didn't test the sound but even just having it made me feel better.
