Mostly Hiking Information
Since this book was entitled "family" guide book I was hoping it would take into account the entire family. This book would be great if you are interested in hikes with the kids or young healthy adults only, because that is what the entire book is about. Family vacations for our family include grandparents too and I was hoping this book would give some ideas to balance activities for all ages within the park, including great don't miss spots from the roads that grandma can access easily. It didn't. But, if you need a hiking guide book, this is for you.

Family Vacation Must for RMNP
Ordered this planning for a family vacation to Rocky Mountain National Park. It was a tremendous help, letting us know which trails are easy or more difficult, and which trails are more family-friendly. Lots of good advice on where to find the best scenery too. Well worth the nominal investment.

Great for family hiking in RMNP
This was a great book to have while planning hikes for our trip and to have while we were hiking. Good summaries of the various hiking trails. We found a variety of hikes for us and our kids ages 3-8.

Good guide but pushes the climate change agenda.
I planned to get this book until I read the preface and the authors pushing of the political agenda of climate change. I am so tired of the left political agenda getting into everything, including our national parks. Climate change is a natural phenomenon that has always been a driving force of our environment and planet that should be adapted to and learned from, but should not be a tool used to wreck our economy or our enjoyment of our tremendous natural resources. Please leave your politics in the city and leave nature in the wilds. I moved on to the next guide.
