Streetwise Copenhagen Map - Laminated City Center Street Map of Copenhagen, Denmark: Folding Pocket Size Travel Map with Metro Map – November 1, 2013

I bought this laminated map back in 2018 for my trip to Copenhagen, Denmark. Did not have a cell phone on that trip, so this map came in quite handy to navigate the streets. Easy to read and figure out where to go.

I have not been to Denmark for several years, so I obtained this map prior to my 2014 trip. The map is presented on stiff laminated board in an accordion format which will fit into your shirt pocket. The inside fold has three components: map of central city with scale gauge, metro map, and coordinate-coded system site index listing. All are excellent for quick reference. The flip side has the north and south expansion of the central city map, plus the street index expanded from the inner panel, and a map key.This coupled with Rick Steves’ snapshot book of the same provides all you need to get around efficiently. The map has already brought familiarity to my return and I will be taking this with me on my trip.

This map is sturdy (thick paper), and waterproof so it will definitely stand up the to the abuse of daily use during a vacation. I've used Streetwise maps for multiple European cities and have always like them. I've even been asked for directions by other tourists, and had an employee at a hotel compliment the map and ask where I got it. Do keep in mind however that it is relatively tall and would not be easily folded smaller than it was made to be by the manufacturer. When I was on vacation I kept mine in my cross-body purse and the map was short enough that I could still zip the purse closed. However, for women with shorter purses (or for men) the size may be a bit frustrating.

The Streetwise series of maps are the absolute best. They fold swiftly so you won't look like the moron tourist attacking a map on a street corner. The level of detail is perfect for walking unfamiliar streets. You can get a real sense of the neighborhoods, then go to Google Earth street view for the details. I just wish this company would hurry up and make more maps for common tourist destinations. Everything else is a poor substitute. Also, if you need a placemat or a rain hat, this waterproof map works just fine. The surface wipes clean with a damp cloth, and yes, you can use dry erase markers on it.

Perfect map to explore the city with - especially as it's waterproof and rained most of my visit. This made navigating the streets simple. Note the scale when you are using it - everything looks much farther away then it really is (this is a very easy city to do on foot or by bike).

The Streetwise Maps are the best maps you can have. Better than any map you're going to get at your hotel or just about anywhere else. They are a must have when traveling to a city you are unfamiliar with. They show streets that don't appear on most maps. Indispensable.

I got this for a recent trip to Copenhagen and it was perfect, I wish I had one for every other city we were in while in Europe.

I haven't used it yet so I don't know how accurate it is, but the streets seem to be easy to read and clearly marked.

This map is reasonable, although IMHO, not quite as good as the Rough Guide ones that are available for many cities.It is printed on quite thick paper / card, with a gloss water repellent coating - so it will cope with a certain amount of damp, although I think if it gets wet on the edges it will still soak in. The disadvantage of it is that it makes it too stiff to fold any smaller, to fit in a pocket.It covers the central area of Copenhagen, but it is split up a bit between different sections of the map.When I visited the city, I found free maps at the airport & tourist information that I ended up using more than this one (although the were falling apart by the end of the trip).

Good pocket size map . Waterproof. accurate

Size good for popping in a smallish bag and readable.
