The hat has a loose weave that allows air circulation, making the hat cooler to wear during the summer. It has a nice wide brim to limit sun exposure. It is adjustable via a string in the inner band that the user ties to their liking. The loose weave let’s water through as well, so don’t expect rain protection. I have a receding hairline, and the hat leaves a temporary line across my forehead. It is lightweight and foldable for packing. Great hat.

My husband is a golfer and I have purchased several hats… I need them to cover his ears neck and face. The problem was when it is windy they flop in his face. I pondered several days when I saw this hat but so glad I made the purchase!! It’s perfect and you can adjust the fit within the band to ensure the perfect fit. It does it’s job … but bonus it’s a great looking hat!!! He loves it (which means he will actually wear it :))

I was hesitant to buy this hat. I wanted a straw hat that I could haul flat in a suitcase. Straw does not lend itself to crushing and uncrushing. They crush just fine. They don't uncrush very well.I have had felt hats, in the past, that were "crushable". Yet I was skeptical that such a thing existed in a straw hat. I knew the term "crushable". This hat was listed as "packable". That was what made me hesitant. But hey, it's Amazon. If it wasn't what they said it was, there is usually recourse available.I received the hat today. I purchased the lighter colored one in L-XL.It's winter here right now. . It's hard to know how cool it will be in the summer heat. It is not made out of actual straw. It is made of some high quality stiff-ish woven thread material.Holding the hat up to a light, I can see through it like a high quality straw hat. It is a surprisingly good looking hat. It fits me perfectly. I have a big head. I normally wear 7-5/8. You could probably go a tiny bit larger and you should definitely be able to go smaller. There is a drawstring in the inner hat band so you can draw the hat in smaller. It fits me perfect with using the string.Most of all, it is very nicely "crushable" using their "soft-taco fold". You just push it in from both sides and it "crushes" quite flat.I am excited about this hat. So far I love everything I see, and feel, with this hat.I would definitely buy it again if need be.

I like that it is foldable for packing, lightweight, stylish and fun to wear.

Sun protection

I bought this hat for sun protection. It fit's comfortably and has a soft sweatband with a string for tightening that hidden in the band. I've only had it a couple of days but seems like a good quality hat. Other hats I tried rested on the top of my head which I didn't like but this one doesn't do that.

Outstanding!This hat ticks all the boxes, shades the face from the sun while not making the head hot. I have always used Tilley hats great at protecting the face but even the light and air flow ones make the head sweat.So this hats really is excellent. The adjustable nature works well and it looks really good!
