Make that $12 cocktail at home...It’s THAT easy!
We never thought we could make a cocktail this good at home until we found this product. Use the ratio they suggest and then adjust to your own taste (my wife prefers a little less mix and I like it the way they recommend). All you need is your favorite bourbon/whiskey (we are using Angel’s Envy currently) and you’ve got a great drink.I travel quite a bit and see inferior Old Fashioned drinks across the country for $10 - $14 a pop. This mix makes a consistent cocktail and can also make you look like a master mixologist to guests. You can keep it your little secret or share your magic elixir.Glad we can find this on Amazon now...with Eli Mason being a smaller company we can’t always find them in stores when we need it.

It's "OK" but be careful removing the wrapper
I have had bourbon old fashions at a number of fine restaurants over the years. All have been good. Although this is "okay", it tastes nothing like the ones made from scratch. One word of caution; be careful when you peel off the black neck wrappers. There was a big chip in the glass bottle I opened. It was under the wrapper near the cap so I couldn't see it beforehand. I certainly felt it when I sliced my thumb opened. Eli Mason has been notified about a possible quality control issue.

Good flavor
I purchased this because I was looking for a good syrup to make French-style "syrop." I used to live in France and all over there you can get tasty syrup to add to tap water for a refreshing drink. The trouble is, most brands available here in the US are too sweet. This Grenadine is very close to what I was looking for, although it is intended as a cocktail mix and isn't very pretty in the glass, nor does it have quite the right consistency of the other syrups you can buy. (Usually Teissiere brand imported from England.) Thus I am giving this 4 instead of 5 stars. Now, perhaps actually being in France made everything there taste special, but I am still on a quest to find the perfect "syrop." For now, this is as good as I have found.

Excellent with a little tweaking
I’m very pleased with the Eli Mason mix. As an avid bourbon drinker I wanted a simpler way to make old fashioned drinks at home. When I mixed according to the original recipe, I was not that impressed. However, after a couple dashes of water to open it up and a garnish of a orange zest, it was a perfect drink.

Simple syrup with peach
It's definitely simple syrup. You could use it in anything that requires simple syrup. The peach flavor is very subtle. When people drank it they would usually say something like... I don't taste the peach but you can tell there's something else there. (More than simple syrup) we used the entire bottle. If we wanted (and should have done). We could have used peach bitters (there wasn't any at the store we went to) or muddled peaches. Something for a layering effect. I thought it was a bit much. But maybe that's because it wasn't exactly what I wanted. If it was I'd probably be buying more. If you want peach flavor to hit you in the face, eat a peach. This is very subtle.

Pricey, but worth it.
This stuff rocks if you're looking to make a Peach Old Fashioned. After experimenting with various syrup and bitters combinations, I found this worked the best for me. Gives the drink a subtle peach flavor not at all artificial tasting and with just the right sweetness. It's expensive, no doubt! But any bartender worth his salt will tell you that the best ingredients make the best drinks. So, for me, it's worth the price.

waste of money
we loved the flavor and the the taste was great but for cost of the product it was NOT worth the money .. we will go back to making it from scratch and save a ton of money ! it is a shame that the price was so high for the value of the item !

Small amount, not worth it
Flavor is ok. It is a very small amount for 20 bucks. I'll just buy oranges and cherries next time, it would be cheaper. Plus I've had a bottle of orange bitters for years that just keeps on going.
