Earth Minded Rain Barrel Plastic 45 Gal

Great rain barrel.I have one I purchased about 5 years ago. I needed a second one for the front of my house so I don't need to carry the water around to my porch. I purchased the same brand because my first one has held up so well.I use my barrel from spring through fall, then put it in my shed for winter storage. It has held up well, except for the faucet handle I broke. The handle should be metal, not plastic.Easy to put together. Even the drill bits are included for cutting the holes for the connector pipe.Make sure you put the barrel up on a stand or blocks so you can use the bottom drain. And add a hose BEFORE it fills with water! The faucet is about a foot from the bottom, so if you want to access the water below that you need a hose. It must be elevated because the water won't come out if your bucket or watering can is higher than the water level. Keep that in mind when deciding on where to place your barrel.

Does as intended and filled up after 1 rain. Love it. Just be warned screwing the drain spouts in is very difficult. I had to use a wrench and with it being plastic it could be broken if not careful. Make sure you have a wrench to screw it in unless you're the incredible Hulk

I was pleasantly surprised at the good quality -- it's always hard to tell online. The plastic is thicker and stronger than I'd expected and it's very sturdy. All of the parts are easily identifiable, and the best part is the instructions are easy to understand. They even tell you WHY you need to follow the steps and, in some cases tell you why shouldn't do something. Took me about 30 minutes to assemble, including using some 4x4s to create a solid, level base. Well worth the money!

Easy to install and setup. Nozzle is not very sturdy. Hard to get water out when less than 50%. Also, seems to get mosquitos so a rubber seal would come in handy. Overall, it does the job for catching rain none the less.

No water overflow. Very practical.

This is my second one. The first works so well I wanted another.

I was delighted to find this product at this price. Instructions were clear, and all needed tools were included (except the power drill, of course)----which was very nice not having to shop for connecting pieces We put the spigot at the bottom and elevated the barrel on two rows of cinder blocks to allow a bit more water pressure. A watering can fills reasonable quickly, and there are no leaks. Very happy with purchase.

Item arrived in a timely way, but the spigot on the bottom was slightly too large for the pre-drilled hole. It should be a very snug fit to prevent leaking, but it was physically impossible to insert the spigot. The seller DID NOT provide a pre-paid shipping label for the return. The cost send it back is close to $400, which is way more than the cost of the item itself. Buying it is a gamble.
