Handmadecraft "Byto" Vintage Genuine Leather Hold all Travel Bag Brown

**Update: I have used this bag almost daily for about 6 months now, and I just love it. It's gotten rained on, squished, thrown around, and it still looks awesome. Water marks show on it, but they just make the leather look more travel-worn (in a good way). It's very sturdy, and I'm hard on it.I bought a couple different bags so I could see them in person and decide, and this was the clear winner.Reviews of all the bags (in no particular order):- A Jaald Store 24" Genuine Leather Mens Duffel Gym Sports Travel Weekend Carry on Luggage BagI'm honestly amazed at the positive reviews. I bought 5 similar leather overnight bags for comparison, and this one was by far the worst. It looked cheap, the material was stiff, and it did not look like it would improve with age. The handles were clearly not rolled leather inside, and had "breaks" between whatever was used to stuff them. I'm not even totally sure it was real leather. It looked and felt like bad fake leather. Two stars because $75 isn't terrible for a leather(ish) overnight bag, even if it is low quality, but your $ could be spent much better on a different bag.--$75---** 2 Stars-Komal's Passion Leather 24 Inch Duffel Travel Gym Sports Overnight Weekend Leather Bag (rectangular)And-Komal's Passion Leather 24 Inch Duffel Travel Gym Overnight Weekend Leather Bag(circular)The two bags I ordered from Komal's were the highest quality of the five. They were beautiful dark cognac brown and had nice thick leather. The straps came with a shoulder pad and seemed to be sewed on very securely. I will say the straps seemed a little stiffer than the rest of the bag, and may need to be replaced after a few years, but these bags felt like they would last for a decade. The leather also had natural distressing that I think will look better with age, rain drops, jostling, etc. It would be nice if the buckles were magnetic instead of requiring actual buckling/unbuckling (i'll sacrifice a little security for convenience, personally), but that was not an option on any of the bags. It seemed like more stuff would fit in the rectangular bag, and that it would stay more organized that it would in the cylindrical bag. Like all of the bags, this had a green velvet interior. The zippers seemed sturdy. I didn't love that they were black and seemed to stand out quite a bit, but it wasn't a huge deal. The leather was lighter than the other bags, but not in a washed-out way. Of all the bags, I actually think this leather will improve the most with battering and age. Leather was supple (though not as supple as the Komal's) and thick. It actually seemed a little thicker than the Komal's and might hold up better over the long term, but both brands made bags that will last years and years. I decided not to keep this one because I didn't want to have to undo the buckle for the flap over the front every time I needed something, though I thought the flap looked awesome and I liked that it hid the zippers, but like I said, inconvenience is big for me. The main dealbreaker here was that the bag was too small for anything other than a short overnight. I am a girl that likes to have a few outfit options when I travel, and this just didn't seem like it would fit much. Hoenstly it was basically the exact same except for a couple minor things. It was a little lighter in color, and the leather felt like it might be a tiny bit thinner (but it may just be that the lining on the Komal’s was thicker). The strap on the one also was the only one that didn’t come with a shoulder pad. I incrementally preferred the color of the Komal’s, but this is the one I ended up keeping. I love this leather bag! It’s perfect for the job. Holds about 1 million in $100,000 stacks where as a suitcase only holds about $650,000. It’s nice to only need to bring one bag to a job now.

I've had this for 6 months now. I took it on a trip overseas and it was fine for a little while. Towards the end of the trip I noticed that the bag was getting darker. The problem with this bag is that in warm environments it begins to ooze oil. It smells like rancid oil, which in fact is what's coming to the surface of the leather. I wouldn't buy this again or recommend anyone else to buy it.

This is a beautiful bag, very roomy and just plain good looking! It did have a smell when it arrived, but I aired it out for a week and it was good to go. I used this for a long weekend in the mountains and I was able to fit everything I needed in it.Outstanding quality and very sturdy zipper. No reason not to purchase this, it is wonderful.

This bag is absolutely perfect for a carry-on. It's a beautiful bag to begin with. I felt like a seasoned professional traveler carrying it through the airport. It's much bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. So you can fit everything you need for a short trip. The shape is perfect for overhead bins; straight in on full sized planes and crosswise in the regional planes. It does have a chemical smell from the leather tanning process but that fades in a few weeks.The only negative comment I have is that there is no pad on the shoulder strap to distribute the weight so it can get uncomfortable carrying it through the larger airports. But given the positives it has no effect on a five star rating.

Bought this bag about 5 months ago. I should have invested in a more expensive bag because it has not stood the test of 3 trips.The main reason for the low rating: on my last trip, the handle strap broke. Everything people are saying about the leather is correct: even after 5 months, it is still very oily and smelly. It is definitely leather (as opposed to polyester) and it has browned very nicely but the leather must be very low quality because it has stretched and warped. For instance, the shoulder strap is at least 6 inches longer now (again only 3 uses.)All metal furnishings arrived greasy but the zippers and fasteners seem to be very strong and heavy duty. It's a great looking bag and it would serve as a suitable gym bag or weekender. But I would not recommend filling it with more than 20 lbs. or taking it anywhere with a lot of walking.

I purchased this for my husband's birthday. He travels and was carrying a fabric duffel bag. As an executive I felt he needed something nicer. He has taken it on planes and it fits nicely overhead. He can carry a lot it in as well. The older it gets and the more use it's gotten has made it even more beautiful.

I love this duffel bag. I have used it multiple times on short trips and now I use it on my over night business trips. I have always used it as a carry on when I traveled, really don't trust the airlines to take care of it as a checked piece of luggage with their recent track records. I have received a lot compliments and often asked where they could purchase one. It is large enough for everything I need to carry and then some. Extremely pleased and happy with this product. Would highly recommend to anyone as a gift.
