My Sunshine (Kendrick/Coulter/Harrigan series Book 6)

If you've read any of the Kendrick/Coulter/Harrigan series, and I hope you have! You'll know that falling in love with Isaiah Coulter is an easy thing to do. He personifies the youngest brother whose sense of honor and loyalty to his family bookends his gentle spirit and love of animals.In My Sunshine, we are introduced to a beautiful young woman whose determination and understanding of challenges puts her squarely in the sights of another Coulter bachelor. This story was one of my absolute favorites so far. I found myself cheering for Laura and grinding my teeth at those who had ill intent toward her.Hurray for a story about a woman whose gentle strength brought her to the other side of incredible odds. If you want a truly "feel good" read, this one is it.I highly recommend it.

So it's official, Isiah Coulter is my 2nd favorite son after, Hank. What an amazing guy, and what an amazing story. What was more amazing was Laura herself. I can't imagine having to essential start life all over again and find a way to live life not as you used to, but with limitations you hadn't had to face before. Not to mention maintaining a positive attitude through it all. She had an appreciation for life that many of us lose sight of. Can't wait to read how Mary Coulter will scheme to marry off her last son.

I couldn't finish it.I read up to 70% and finally put it down, most of that 70% was skimmed. I liked the idea of the h with aphasia and the dynamic that would add to the relationship, but it didn't work for me. The h was too perfect...sexy, smart, funny, selfless, cooks perfectly, cleans, decorates, runs out in traffic to save puppies, etc. There were a lot of extra scenes and descriptions that weighed down the book, and by 70% in, the H/h hadn't even kissed, yet. Just too goody-two-shoes for me.

3 Stars - I liked this slow and sweet book but I did skim a good portion of it because I felt it was a bit too slow. Laura was sweet, loyal and caring and had had a head injury which made words difficult to say or remember and reading and numbers were confusing. Isaiah is a vet who's job takes up all of his time and has no interest in marriage. But when Laura is hired to be one of their kennel keepers, he notices her right away and is drawn to her inner and outer beauty but tries to view her as only an employee. Laura notices Isaiah as well and tries to ignore her feelings because she knows that he wouldn't want someone who was impaired as she was. Slowly and sweetly they realize they love each other. There is a subplot where someone at the vet clinic is setting up Laura to look bad and have her fired.

My Sunshine is a wonderful book. The Author is terrific and I have read many of her books now but so far this is my favorite. I have recommended it to so many and that is why I purchased it as I will read it over. The story is just so delightful and it is so different from anything I have ever read before. It is the story of a Vet and a very slightly handicapped girl who comes to work for him. She is wonderful with animals. Without giving away the whole story believe me it is definitely worth reading. I really think any age group would enjoy it as I felt it was family oriented. There is a bit of a mystery in it also.

For those of you who have read any of the Kendrick/Coulter/Harrigan series, it is not hard to love Isiah Coulter. He personifies, the kid brother who's sense of honor and priority bookends his gentleness and love of animals, not to mention his family. As only Catherine Anderson can do, she introduces us to a beautiful but damaged young woman whose determination and understanding of challenges puts her in the sights of another Coulter bachelor.This story is so real that it grows and grows within. By far one of her very best.

My all time favorite author,catherine Anderson is the most talented author. I have read everything she has written. Phantom Waltz has always been my favorite book. Just because It was my first book read by her. But she can sure catch your heart, and your interest from the beginning of each book. I have been rereading all her books for my fourth time. When I read a new book from her. It makes me want to read her other books. Especially if it's a series. I like to get reacquainted with the other family members. Thankyou catherine anderson.

It’s a cute slow pace romance, with a little touch of unpredictable in the end.Really easy and entertaining reading. Laura and Isaiah are a cute couple, even if a little old fashioned.

Another great book from this author.
