Works just as well as name brand versions
Ordered this to clay my black 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer, which hasn't been clayed in over 3 years. Ended using a half bar + plus a little bit of the other half. I used soapy water as a lubricant and it picked up a lot of the unseen gunk. Worst spots were the roof and hood, which will need to be reclayed at the next wash.Pros: excellent price/value, mild abrasive will not damage paint, picks up car finish contaminantsCons: less pliable the others I've used

Wow. Works great.
First of all I should say this is the first time I have used a clay bar on a vehicle. Normally I just buff the rail dust off my paint. Problem is sometimes the particles scratch the paint requiring even more buffing. I never thought claying would take off the rail dust, tar and center line paint so easy and provide such good results. My 09 Impala has over 160 k on it and felt like sandpaper after the past 3 upper Michigan winter's . I live next to a open pit iron mine with a lot of train and semi traffic. It was a true test for these AquaMarine clay bars. The rail dust and contaminants rubbed right off in about a dozen strokes. The whole car was done with 1 bar then I waxed. I saved the bar and did my truck afterwards. The clay bar is sticky and I saved it for future use again in a Ziploc bag. It does stick to the bag to so I will have to try wax paper wrapping. This is a very good product to use in cool weather. IDK how soft it will be in 90 degrees or how well it will work then. I usually spring and fall clean and this product works great for me.

Low price but high quality
This clay bar works exactly the same as the more expensive offerings from popular manufacturers. Just compare the weight (as shown in the descriptions) and the prices and you'll be pleasantly surprised. I used a quarter-sized (U.S. 25 cent piece) portion and completely cleaned my hood and both front quarter panels. Another quarter-sized piece and I cleaned the roof (but not the glass sunroof) and all four doors. Finished off the trunk and both rear quarter panels. No scratches. Lubricated with Meguiars Detail spray. Amazing how quickly a whole car can be done, after you wash and dry it. Highly recommended. Absolutely no need to spend more on this very basic material. After this clay job, I waxed the car with Meguiars Ultimate Wax. Absolute perfection, and since it only took me about 20 minutes to "clay bar" the car," it was well worth it to give a very smooth finish before waxing the car.

compared to over the counter clay bars i. e ...
compared to over the counter clay bars i.e. meguiars and mothers. These red clay bars are stiffer and more aggressive on the paint. They left micro marring on my paint, which only a polisher will get out. Yes you can get them softer in warm water but that does not help much.

I put the product in a bucket of warm water for about five minutes and find it to be perfect.
Some complain of the stiffness of the clay. I put the product in a bucket of warm water for about five minutes and find it to be perfect.

The Holy Grail of car care.
I recently waxed my car and noticed a gritty feel to the top surfaces. The sides were still silky. My uncle suggested I try clay bar that the detailers use. Ordered these and spray lubricant and gave it a try. WOW!! In less than an hour I had clayed my 2011 Grand Cherokee and the results were astonishing. The paint was silky smooth. Rewaxed and this product is something that is now a permanent addition to my car care bag of tricks.

Soft and fine, but overall they're good.
A little soft but I just placed them in cold water before using them to firm them up and that worked great. Seem to be a very fine grit. Like very fine, so I had to rub for a little longer than I would have liked to get slightly heavier contaminates out of the clear coat of my vehicle. All and all, not a bad buy for the price at all.

It works!
So I saw a video on how to use clay bars, ordered them and used it with soapy water rather than wax sprays. Works great, one bar completed my full size SUV in about an 1.5 hours. Rust stains disappeared, little dirt specks disappeared and the surface became super smooth.
