Gemini Man [Blu-ray]

It was a good film, watched from start to finish. The stunts were comparable with Jackie Chan, Tom Cruise etc. Worth the watch.

Gemini man is a fun ride for the most partAnd will smith is great throughout as usualHowever it wasn’t the action scenes or acting, directing that was an issue.The problem I had with this movie is the pacing feels rough around the edges and sometimes forced. That being said some of the action scenes are fun brutal smart and surprisingly intense to watch especially the first sequence for me was the most excitingAnd then it sadly did get a little old near the end. Not to accuse the film from borrowing from the final shootout in John wick 3But the whole aim for the neck because there armour is bullet proof thing was done way better in John wick 3You could see John really struggle to just keep on suppressing those soldiers just about long enough to get close enough to finish them off before they get back upAnd here will smith’s character seems to just breeze through them, even if he is the best assassin ever he would still struggle way more than he actually did. It’s in the moments when he cant beat his opponents up front and had to get creative is when this movie is at its best.But all that being said Gemini mans greatest moments are in its action which has been wonderfully directed and acted throughoutAnd gorgeously shot by masterful cinematographyJust the big thing holding it down is...The predictable bland scriptSome of the dialogueAnd the storylines in the movie have been rushed to maintain consistent action throughoutWhich is always a misstep when you sacrifice story for another less exciting action scene than the one before it. If those scenes between will smith and himself and Clive own had actual time to let them all grow and delete all the bad dialogue and cliche boring character motivations here then I reckon this film would have delivered a far more emotional punch which it looked like it was trying forAnd lastly most of the cgi and digital de-aging is excellent honestly some shots I couldn’t believe it was a cgi images planted over will smiths face to make him youngerAnd then there were a few times during fights and when he talks and smiles at the end where it really looks obvious and not great.Overall if you love thrillers and vs movies or even just love a willSmith you be mostly satisfiedHowever this film does have its problemsAnd when compared to others that do the action thriller genre better it becomes very apparent what those problems wereEspecially with story and pacingBut still can be an enjoyable rideWould recommend at least a rent to watch it once

SPOILER ALERT: I watch most things with Will Smith in. Even his less known work like Concussion, I found something to enjoy. This film had drama, amazing stunts and excellent special effects. But it was just...kinda...boring! I can't quite put my finger on it but perhaps its the storyline which although the flashiness made it seem original - there are any number of eighties movies that were using similiar plots thirty plus years ago.A deadly assassinHe wants to retireSomething from his past comes back to haunt himand he's thrown into the action once moreYes, the twist is that Will Smith has a clone. But you knew that from the advert. Knowing that was almost as bad as Terminator Genysis giving away the main plot twist - in the advance ad.Sorry, Will Smith is the man but this isn't THE FILM.

Good film to watch.I would recommend.

Although it’s happened several times in the past that young actors have appeared older than their age through the use of make-up, it was never really possible in the past to accurately make older actors appear younger. In this movie there is a wonderful use of new technology to successfully allow older Will Smith to appear as his much younger clone.

Will Smith gets a lot of bad press for his films and some of it is earned, some isn't. Films are entertainment and like wine, food, politics and religion are based around an individual's tastes and beliefs.This film is not exactly a new story, but as an updated version it is well told, has good acting, plenty of thrills n spills for those that like such stuff and keeps you going until the end.Is it Bond at its best .. NO, is it a decent, well made "shoot-em-up" thriller .. YES.But don't take my word for it. Your tastes may not be mine and vice versa. That doesn't make me right and you wrong ... or vice versa :-)

This film has had some bad reviews but I enjoyed it. It's a cut above your usual action/thriller movie. It has a twist which I don't want to reveal as it will spoil the film if you haven't seen it. But it goes a bit further. How was the twist achieved? I would definitely recommend giving it a go.

The video reproduction was appalling!! The sound track did not sync with the video and it was most off putting. The movie storyline was quite good but the overall experience was very badly affected by the dreadful reproduction. In fact, we discovered that the same movie was being broadcast FREELY on Film 4 almost simultaneously and, when we looked, that version was perfectly in sync so I am FURIOUS that we paid (unnecessarily) to view it on Prime Video when we could have seen it for nothing!! It would be a great customer relations exercise if Amazon gave me a refund for this - I live in hopes.

The movie wasn't bad but the camera work was atrocious in the 3D version , the background was doubled and blurry. It was so bad that I played another 3D movie just to make it wasn't my equipments fault . Hopefully the 2D version plats better , I did enjoy the movie.

Jeder der halbwegs Ahnung von der Technik hat wird diese Scheibe lieben.Absolut perfektes Bild quasi frei von Bewegungsunschärfe oder "zittern" im Bild. Wie natürliches Sehen.Schade dass es Hobbit nicht in HFR auf 4K Scheibe geschafft hat :-(

Hablando del apartado técnico es brutal viene en 4k nativo, 60fps y dolby visión ( aunque fue grabada a 120fps) y la verdad es increíble el nivel de detalle y nitidez de todo.El dolby visión es también brutal. los niveles de brillo son increíbles en las escenas de día se ve todo resplandeciente. los objetos metálicos brillan con reflejos alucinantes y las escenas de noche se ven increíbles los contrastes de negros perfectos y las luces súper brillantes son geniales. Los colores se ven super vibrantes con rojos carmesi, azules eléctricos, violetas y verdes zafiro es hermoso.y que decir de los 60fps son una maravilla, hace que todo se ve más nítido, sobretodo en las escenas rapidas de acción que puedes ver cada detalle. y los paneos se ven increíblemente suaves.Lo único malo es que con los 60fps se nota más lo irregular y por momentos mal que es el CGI sobre todo en la cara de Will Smith joven. ya que en partes se ve súper falsa y como que no tiene un movimiento natural que se sincronice con el cuerpo de manera real.el audio es increíble tiene un dolby atmos bien hecho y muy imersivo.Tiene doblaje en español latino dolby digital 5.1En conclusión es una maravilla y un auténtico tech demo para las pantallas y reproductores 4k, creo que todos deberían tener esta versión 4k para ver y mostrar de lo que es capaz este formato.
