Fluxx-tacular.
*Update*Looking back in 2020, I bought this in '16 for $14. It's now listed as $69.Wow! It's a great game but I'm not sure it's worth 70 bucks.*Update*A couple years later and this game is still many people's favorite when we play.Highly recommended. I prefer this to the original version.---This game is a lot of fun. I have to admit that I didn't expect that, but was I pleasantly surprised and excited to be wrong. My cousin brought this to the family reunion. I played because I wanted to spend time with him. After a round or two I had already ordered my own Batman Fluxx on Amazon and after I played that for a few days, I got Star Fluxx. The game works best when everyone understands how to play, as it can be a bit slow when there is someone new to the game. This makes sense though, as the rules of the game are always in "flux" (aptly named game). The basis rules are:Draw a card, play a card. That's it. Anyone can do that.Eventually, other cards will get played that will add complexity and fun to the game. Some examples may be rules that change how many cards are drawn or must be played each hand. Others let you steal or switch cards with other players. Some provide goals. Without a goal, there is not a way to win the game. Don't get too excited about any particular goal that is played, as they can change from player to player. Don't worry, you can get them back. The way to win is so simple: Have the cards the goal card says you need to win in play at the same time.Of course it doesn't stay so simple. Other players change the goal in defense or offense based on what they/you have in play.Be ready for the "surprise" cards which can be played at any moment, even out of turn. These can do things like cancel an action or a new rule or cancel a goal (thus preventing victory for another player). It's a lot of fun, I highly recommend you try Fluxx in it's several iterations which are each different.

Great characters woven into a great game
If you like Fluxx and you like Batman (espially Bruce Timm's animated series), this version is a great blend! For Fluxx fans, the biggest change and challenge is how Creepers (Mostly Villains in this case) are used. If there are ANY Creepers anywhere on the board, even in front of another player, it can prevent you from winning. Unless of course, the goal requires these villains. Otherwise Batman has to rid them or lock them up.I also have the add on Two-Face coin and card that is a nice addition and collector's item to this pack even though it rarely comes into play.If you have never played Fluxx....I don't even know where to start. I guess start with the 3 cards you're given and an open mind. You win by having the cards in front of you match the goal card. But the goal card constantly changes. And so do how many cards you draw, and play, and other rules that keep this game constantly evolving. It isn't as random as it sounds though and there is strategy to play as you make choices of which card to use in what order. Fluxx is one of those games that you just have to jump in and play a round to understand, but it's very quick once you do.The first Fluxx game I owned was Monty Python, which matches perfectly the zaniness of the game itself. Batman of course is more serious, but it is still fun to try to keep these villains in Arkham (a new Rule card) as well as use the powers many of the gadget cards contain. There is still a nice tongue in cheek humor to this game. Notice that Batman and Bruce Wayne can never be in play at the same time.I have played this with other adults as well as kids as young as 8 successfully. It's a good game for families as well as friends.

Fluxx fans
We are fans of the Fluxx card game series and this Batman version didn't disappoint. Our teenagers and young adult kids love the ever changing rules of the game. Even our 19 year old son who tends to be "anti-game night" got sucked into the action, and after his first round he didn't want to stop playing. We noticed that our 10 year old niece, who is a game night fan, felt overwhelmed by the changing rules and goals and stopped playing after the first round. So maybe it's not the best choice for younger kids, but if you have older kids this will make for some great family time!

Fun for the whole family!
Absolutely love it! I played the game with my 6 year old son, wife, and 80 year old father. IT WAS GREAT! After a few go arounds they all started picking up the game and things got real fun. Love this version and am totally looking to purchase more!

Great, Dynamic Family Game
I'm a family man through and through. I bought this game and since have spent many quality hours with my kids and myself. My friend is a game buff and tried and insisted that he get the game to.Pro's:- Game is simple- Rules in the game change in a fun way- Addictive for the kids and family once you play a few rounds- The Goals change allowing you to help yourself and/or thwart your opponents attempt to win.Con's:- Loop holes - you have to read the cards carefully. The instructions provide insight into some of these loop holes as well as the producers website.- Instructions weren't as explicit on the villains and how they fit into the game. This could have been my impatience though. In general, I would recommend this. It continues to be a go to game for us.

Holy Fluxx, Batman! This one's a creeper, er, I mean keeper!
Best Fluxx yet, for this Batman fan! Fluxx is a great game and they've made it better for Batman fans. Creepers are now villains (and they can get sent to Arkham!) and have goals associated with them. There are lots of "quick play" cards (like Egads!) that keep cards turning and goals changing. My favorite of the Fluxx games so far!
