After doing a TON of research on Natural sunscreens I went with this one for the natural ingredients and approval from the EWG. I have tried to apply this so many different ways(over moisturizer, under, with a facial moisture spray) but it never works under makeup. It's too thick and I can't get rid of white streaks. When I try to blend away the white residue, I feel like the sunscreen gets rubbed off which is then useless. It's also too dry of a formula(maybe good for oily skin?). I now see that I can't return this item either. Bummer. The search continues...Update 1/11/17I tried this again with putting a water based moisturizer on underneath. By doing this, it's allows the SPF to glide on much easier and it doesn't ball up or tug at my skin when I'm trying to blend it in. I found that you have to use a water based moisturizer, and not an oil. If you use an oil base, the SPF tends to ball up and not go on smoothly since water and oil don't mix well. I do like this now as long as you have very hydrated skin as a base before applying.

I bought this because of the awesome rating on the ewg as well as great reviews saying it doesn't leave you face white. While the ingredients list is stellar, this definitely does not look subtle on. It wouldn't be that bad except its very dry so when you rub it in it will flake on your face and make the white streaks more noticeable. Maybe this would work better under a liquid makeup, but putting on powder over just makes it more flaky looking. Overall its okay, but for the low spf and price Im not totally sold, I think I'll start looking into slightly lower rated sunscreens if it means I'll wear them more often...

I received the sunscreen in late January, 2018 and it says it is best used by March, 2018. Not a lot of sun here in the Pacific Northwest in February. I was gearing up for the spring. It was really expensive to be good for one month. Otherwise, I love that it is gluten free! I also like that it is a mineral sunscreen- I only use those. It is a little difficult to apply but maybe it is thicker because it has thickened with age. All rain here but I am slathering it on to use it up in the time frame.

I really wanted to like this product. It has clean ingredients, and it's not outrageously priced. But I used it on my face a few times and it wouldn't absorb or disburse cleanly. I was left with a sort of film with some "grainy" residue. So unfortunately, it wasn't for me. It might work better on other types of skin, so it still might be worth someone else trying it. I have found other EWG-recommended face products that ended up working better for my skin.

This sunscreen was recommended as a safe alternative to chemical sunscreens but I was disappointed with it. My family wore it for a day at the beach and by midday we were all turning pink despite reapplying. Applying this sunscreen is also a chore - it does not rub in well. Luckily the family were good sports about being covered in white streaks all day, but that - plus still getting burned - means we won't be using it again.

I really wanted to love this sunscreen but so far I would have to say it's just okay. It doesn't go on oily and doesn't smell which is great. However, it's very thick and dries very quickly making it hard to rub in well and leaves your face white. I have to add a little oil or moisturizer to get it to somewhat blend in. Overall, this product is way too expensive and is mediocre . Won't buy again.

I really like the formula. However, the pump is not the best and the consistency of the lotion is chalky and takes time to work into the skin. The second time I bought this, my formula was expired and when I contacted the seller, I got not reply. Overall, it was okay, I would have rated higher if it wasn't expired because it did bother me.

I love this! I have perioral dermatitis and have trouble wearing sunscreen on my face. This sunscreen doesn't irritate my face as much as other sunscreens. I personally like the consistency and texture of it--it is a little dry but it makes it so my face isn't so greasy and oily after applying. I think one of the keys is to just squirt a little on your fingertips and rub it all over your face, it doesn't take much. If I put too much on, my face looks a little white, but it generally soaks in after some time and then I can't see it. I don't wear make-up much so I can't give feedback for how it affects application of make-up afterwards.
