Read below for an honest review and an explanation why the shirt is longer!
I am 5’11” and 165lbs. Chest: 38 Waist: 32.I got a size medium.Fit:The shirt is longer than normal to help prevent it from rising up when moving or bending down during activity! If it was shorter, then cold air would come in when bending over. I know someone reviewed the length of the shirt, and said that they hated how it looked, but it's longer on purpose. Regarding actual fit, I believe that the shirt is true to size. However, it is a bit tight on the armpit / chest region. This is because the shirt is a “fitted” style. Consult the size guide because it should be fine for most, but if you are on the larger side (chest) you might want to get a size up.Comfort:I know irritation is of concern for some people, but the shirt did not irritate and was rather comfortable. The material isn’t that rough on the skin, that being said don’t expect it to be silky smooth. Nonetheless, it should be perfectly fine for most people. The stitching near the shoulders can be a bit rough on the skin. Unnoticeable for the most part.Warmth:I bought this shirt to use when I go out to run in the winter. I wear this as a base and then layer it out with a jacket on top. It works fine for ~30 degrees temperature with a light layer. I don’t know how I would feel below 30 ish but it definitely helps, so I would recommend.Quality:This shirt is made of synthetic materials. It works great for working out and activity. Since it isn’t like merino wool, the material also lasts longer after washes and remain durable. The fabric feels pretty durable as well and considerably thick.Price:Very pricey. I know that base layers are considerably more expensive than normal shirts but the $70 is definitely a steep price to pay for a shirt. There may be cheaper alternatives that match the quality, but if you want to play it safe and value reliability, durability, consider getting this shirt.TDLR: Reliable base layer that is durable and helps maintain some warmth. Probably not goose down warm, but it helps. Bit tight on the chest, but still true to size in my opinion. May not "look" great considering its tight fit if not wearing something with it. On the pricey end if paying full price.

Horrible NEW STYLE
Old Base 3.0 Was MUCH better, the NEW design is longer, when I wear my Jacket, shirt is showing from underneath. I'm 6'1" wearing 2XL. Now I look like High School Kid, seriously WHO TOLD you to make the shirt 3" longer? Seriously!? It's going back, NO BUT NO THANK YOU. Horrible Design, shame on You Under Armour.By the way, NEW Base 3.0 and 4.0 looks exactly the same NOW, I guess you will pay more for number 4. I have both of them as I'm writing this review, at some point I didn't know which one is which one, same material, same style only different number........

Definitely recommend for ones cold gear!
Wearing this baselayer shirt right now in 40 degree 4AM weather. To date, my warmest baselayer top. It feels thicker than I thought it would, but I definitely don't mind that on days like today. It's my go to on the coldest of days. It moves better than I thought it would given its thickness. I prefer the feel over thinner Baselayers and vs Nikes Hyperwarm series. In my opinion, Under Armor has reinvented themselves and now owns the baselayer market. By far, I trust their layers more than any other company. Like the review from that guy who's a contractor, if your a personal trainer working early AM shifts, definitely recommend for your cold gear arsenal!

Best Base Layer Period!
I own many different styles of base layers.Synthetic, Merino wool, blends even cotton. This base layer system is by far the best fitting and warmest of any I’ve ever tried.Don’t waste your money on merino. Just get UA base 3.0 or 4.0 and be done. No gimmicks quality base layers period.

Not what it used to be.
The new UA 3.0 shirt lacks the waffle pattern of the previous version. The new 3.0 version compares to the older 2.0 version. UA really went down in the quality department with these new versions. Not worth the money now. UA charges the same but you now get an inferior product.

Only the top is "packaged"
WARNING - The pic and description make it look like you're getting a "package" but it's just another marketing ploy...... You only get the top.

Good base layer for biking
Has kept me warm and comfortable under a windproof cycling jacket while riding in the 30s and 40s, with/without sun. A solid performer.

You don’t get the pants!
Picture is deceiving. Looks like your getting shirt and pants but it’s just the shirt. Feel like I got tricked.

Excellent base layer for downhill skiing
This is probably the best baselayer around. It’s my second underarmour top and is to add to/replace my old underarmour top which I have had for ten seasons (maybe longer)The old top is less thick and I recall there was only one top and one set of leggings offered whereas now there are 4 different ratings. I have gone for #3Even the old top is still nice and warm and in shape but I wanted a step up to match up to my #3 leggings.I also have a merino wool base top but on balance I prefer my underarmour because of the gridded inside face that traps warm air against the skin.
