Stoplik Lick Deterrent Aid Orange Wide 12v (3"x12")

I purchased this for my pitbull who has a chronic lick granuloma. It worked PERFECT for the 5 days that it worked. The wound was nearly healed when the battery died and he figured that out. I came home to find the Stoplick Lick Detergent in shreds. I was heavily disappointed. $20 DOLLARS SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN 5 DAYS! What was most disappointing is this was the longest my dog has ever gone without licking his wound on leg , and then it was a bloody mess. I have tried every type of treatment - anxiety medications, antibiotics, noninvasive laser therapy, and even as far as bringing him to a specialist (who had no idea what to do). I really wish there was a way to replace the battery on the Stoplick, or they should not be so expensive one of the two. I feel if Stoplick creators could revamp their product, it could help alot of people who are in my similar situation. I would have loved to give 5 stars for this product, but it is not 5 star quality at this time. My suggestion to you if you plan on purchasing this for a dog with a lick granuloma be aware the battery does not last very long, and you may come home to it in pieces or worse a bloody mess, like myself.

We placed the strip on our dog's leg, and it stopped him from licking for almost 2 weeks. Then apparently the battery died. There isn't any way to tell when that happens. By the time we noticed, he had chewed the strip completely off, and his leg was bloody and raw again. A great product design improvement would be some way to indicate that the battery is getting low. I would be willing to buy more of these and keep replacing them. I'm desperate to stop the licking.

Works amazingly but... think of it as a really expensive disposable device. It can not be removed and replaced easily,say to clean a wound. It is basically just a giant sticker with very good adhesive. It did however deter a determined licker to stop when even ghost chili powder would not!!

I was looking for something to put on my Weimeraner to stop him from licking his wound. I researched the internet and came up with this product. I went to their website, watched the video and followed all the instructions exactly. I even tried licking it myself to make sure it worked. Well, after I put it on, my dog licked on it right away and then stopped with one of those curious looks on his face. But then, after just a few hours, it was not only torn off but destroyed!! Total waste of money and time!!

We have a great dane who would lick his leg raw until it was a bad wound. we tried everything, bitter spray, E-Collar, bandage wraps, hot sauce, nothing seemed to stop him from licking. we got this and after having it on for about a week or two (the battery died after about 3-4 days) we removed it and bought a second one for a backup. but he has not licked his leg since. we are so happy he can be Cone free!I would highly recommend this to anyone who has a dog with licking problems.

Works very well--for about a week until the batteries are drained. Right after the battery wore down our dog was back licking again.

Expensive for what it is. Not reusable and didn't stop my dog from licking. She licked and licked the edge of the strip till it moved down her leg. I saw where you have to monitor it but I don't have time to sit and watch my dog 24/7. Good idea just didn't work for me or my chocolate lab

Looking for a product that my dog would leave alone. Just wish it would stay in place better and last longer otherwise he left the area alone.
