I've never been able to tolerate emery boards, but metal files shredded my nails into bits, and just clipping them never got the look I wanted.Not all glass files are made equal. I've had some in the past that are glass sticks with texture added to them, and they lose efficacy and become totally useless after just a few uses.THESE though. These, I adore. This set is cut into the pattern that does the filing, so I've never had one stop working. I've bought multiple sets to give away as gifts or to replace some I've lost or dropped, but I've never had the problem of having to throw them away.They have a little bit of a learning curve because of just how quickly they work and the possibility of over-buffing or filing your nails to be shorter than you wanted, but it doesn't take long to get used to them.Get these files. You won't regret it.

I got a longer glass file prior to this so when I compared this product I fond this product took a little more nail off than the longer one. Therfore it 3 or 4 swipes back and forth to shine the surface of my nails where the prior purchase took more than twice the effort. If you have ridges on your nails this product is very good at smothing them down. The value is great too because I can have 1 in several locations and it's small enough to fit in my wallet. I'm buying more to give to my friends because I like them so much. Probably can't tell in the picture but the short one (this product) shines a bit better.

I'm a Man who enjoys exploring the Feminine energies at times. On a whim, I purchased this product. NOTE: I have never polished my fingernails nor have I had a mani/pedi and really never plan to have one done. Though I do privately enjoy painting my toenails in neon pink polish because I know it is for my private enjoyment and no one else is going to see them.So I read the vast majority of reviews and made the purchase and tried it out. I have no other words to describe it but: HOLY CRAP! IT WORKS VERY WELL! The pictures that others have posted in their reviews are accurate and maybe even not as shiny as when I tried it on my fingernails...Now I REALLY Frickin shiny fingernails! Just using this product. I wasn't really expecting that.When you try this product, just go slow. You do not need to apply pressure. Just barely enough for it to glide across your nails. Slide it across your nails, not necessarily along them. I placed each finger on a flat surface and rolled the finger from one side slowly as I slid it across, matching each time. Brush off the "dust" from the nail then repeat as needed. You do not need a high gloss "wet" nail polish. You only need this. 10 of 10. Highly recommend.And now I need to kind of be careful on showing my fingernails where I work...

My only qualm is that they didn't come with instructions, and I had to go to YouTube to find a demo video? But after I watched it, and tried them, I am pleased at their versatility! With these, you can use them like Emery boards, but you wash them after each use, and they can be used again many times, an Emery board can't do that? These may be the last files and buffers I every buy!

I used my daughters because it was nearby. She received it as a gift. I asked the person who gifted it and she sent me the link. I ordered right away. Love that I get more than one. Great value.

These files and buffers are incredibly easy to use. A couple of times in the same direction on my nails and they shine. Then I buff with the smooth glass side and they look polished for a week. Once you try these you’ll be amazed.
