Good for Xylitrol Pulling
I have used these for Xylitol pulling, and they worked excellently for that. It’s a great alternative to oil pulling since you can spit it in the sink. I’ve also added them to my coffee and tea, and they taste just like sugar. Overall, they are very good.

I wish people understood how good this product is !
I don’t leave many reviews but this one is important to me . I am a dentist and I see how many people suffer from tooth decay , diabetes , IBS. The amount of this products’ benefit is countless! Prevention of caries and teeth remineralisation , prevention and treatment of osteoporosis , improving gut flora, digestion , diabetes prevention and treatment… these are just examples most important. It carries all the benefits of natural treatment as it derives from birch . It is a little sweeter than sugar , much less calories though . It is a natural preservative as well ! I’ve been using xylitol over 10 years ! We banned sugar from our kitchen . Sugar feeds cancer cells and long term leads to diabetes and dementia. I use xylitol for cakes, cooking , cured meats and sausages, preserves. My favourite is cranberry sauce : I simmer cranberries -1 frozen bag -for 20 min with a tablespoon of water for 20 minutes since they pop , to release pectin naturally, then add 2-3 tablespoons of xylitol and simmer another 10 min or so until thickens a little - pack in the jar when hot - can keep in the fridge for weeks -even open does not go off - xylitol preserving power! Apple sauce - same. You can dunk strawberries in it if they are on sour side - xylitol is sin free just be careful with the amount as you will go to toilet more ;))) Made elderflower cordial with it - really good ! Once you get used to it - no turning back! I must also add that I was in touch with at least 3 companies- I asked them for samples for my patients- I wanted to help them with their teeth - dry mouth , caries , diabetes. These companies fobbed me off . Bonraw was the only company that responded and helped me instantly , completely pro bono ! I wish Silver Birch Bonraw was available in supermarkets- in bigger bags so everyone could stock up . I have seen it Waitrose though . For now I am buying through Amazon , usually 4 x1kg bags last me for a year in kitchen , we do not use in tea or coffee though . Please buy Silver Birch from Bonraw as they care !

Excellent
This is the best sugar substitute iv ever had. I'm a diabetic and have tried different sugar substitutes...but this one is by miles the best iv ever had for sure. It looks like sugar and tastes just exactly like sugar. I'll definitely be buying this from now onwards for sure. You honestly couldn't get a better sugar substitute than this. It's perfect. 👍👍

Practice makes perfect
I first tried Bonraw over two years ago, and have been purchasing it fairly regularly since. As a diabetic, it is a helpful tool in keeping my sugar levels fairly stable whilst enjoying treats. I have tested many recipes. My observation is desserts taste a little less sweet but this suits my palate. I have also noticed that many flavours require enhancing to come through, so if a recipe calls for one teaspoon of vanilla, I add two. If I make an apple crumble mix, I enhance it with ground almonds (reduce the flour accordingly), and will use lemon juice with the apples to help balance the flavours. If you have a recipe high in sugar, there can be a slight aftertaste but as a diabetic, I tend to select recipes which are naturally lower in sugar anyway, so the aftertaste rarely occurs. I think Bonraw changes the texture of sponges/cakes/biscuits a little. It doesn't work with everything; although using the coconut sugar version can help with chocolate recipes or those requiring a slightly deeper flavour, there remains a difference depending on the sugar quantity.I also happen to have children who are lactose intolerant and some family members who are wheat intolerant. This means recipes often require quite radical adjustment for all of us to be able to enjoy the same dish/dessert. In my testing, Bonraw works best with lactose free recipes. Adding wheat/gluten free as well seems to be a step too far as the texture isn't the same, doesn't always cook like regular sugar, impacts the rise in cakes/biscuits/scones, and it also puts the cooking times out.I'm very pleased to say my family and friends often can't even tell the difference between regular cane sugar and Bonraw. It is an expensive product though, especially with the cost of living, and it isn't always possible to make a straight substitute in recipes, it is necessary to experiment. That said, I am grateful there is a product available which enables me to have a dessert every couple of weeks without feeling guilty or needing to seriously adjust meds.I don't add sugar to my drinks, cereals or savoury dishes, so I cannot comment on its use for these.

Xylitol at a cheaper price than most!!
I am a diabetic who doesn’t like artificial sweeteners so the invention of Xylitol is a brilliant thing for me! The down side is it’s very expensive so have tried the cheaper ones which has been more of a powder than granular so had lots of lumps & not easy to sprinkle onto cereals etc. I have now tried Bonraw which is as a one off price of £8.49 & now I’m getting on subscribe & save at £7.64 (not been able to find any other brand cheaper) & I’m very happy with it, properly granulated & no different from the Total Sweet or Pink Sun brands! Happy days 😊

sweet like sugar with no aftertaste or other additives
Looks like medium sized white granulated sugar . Have used for hot drinks and there was no strange taste as in some sweeteners and has not upset stomach.Have not tried in baking, the granules are not fine.
