Good Read
Great starter book to help guide busy professionals in real estate investing (REI) with advice based on Dr. Fawcett's experiences. I am a physician that invests in real estate and I appreciate and agree with what Dr. Fawcett's approach to finances. However, if you are going to dive into REI then I suggest reading many other books in the same genre to obtain a broader perspective and gain knowledge of other options.

New to Real Estate Investing - Not a Doctor
The Doctors Guide to Real Estate Investing for Busy Professionals (DGREIBP) is not just for busy professionals or doctors. It is a comprehensive guide for anyone looking to begin investing in real estate. The book is well organized and detailed with clear “how-to” steps. With no real estate investing experience whatsoever, I used DGREIBP to help me decide to, and become, a landlord rather than sell the single-family house. All of the material was helpful in some way, but a few points really were valuable to me: establish a positive cash flow, set up two bank accounts (rent and deposit), collect a large deposit, and treat your tenants well. As Dr. Fawcett did, I too set the rent low for our area for two reasons. Firstly, I wanted the property occupied long-term. Secondly, I wanted to assist the tenant given that the COVID-19 pandemic had just exploded and unemployment was skyrocketing. I am grateful for Dr. Fawcett’s including his personal experiences and easy-to-follow steps which have made me a happy and confident landlord, and wanting to acquire a second rental property!

Financial Freedom Using Real Estate Investing as a major Tool in your Toolbox
Cory Fawcett is a thought leader and influencer in the Financial Literacy Space. I have learned that the “Chronologic” and “Developmental” Financial Ages of a person often diverge early in life and after a “mid-life wake up” they hopefully converge in time for a “catch-up” play to retirement freedom. What is lost in this generational legacy of cyclical financial illiteracy inheritance and recovery is the power of time and compounding that is like the sun to solar panel arrays when it comes to freeing us from the active income rat race to a life of passive income creativity. Cory writes about this conundrum in terms of a Freshman v Adulting mentality when it comes to money. I just finished his latest book on Real Estate Investing for the busy professional and am blown away by it! It takes the Kyosaki Mindset concepts in Rich Dad Poor Dad and gives them tangible legs! This book will set you free if you read it and follow its lead. I am a Chronological 50something and a Financial 40something “crash test dummy” now needing to take action on this phase of my financial recovery.

Inspiring - If you are a decisive and practical physician then read this book
I hope all is well. I finished reading the book "The Doctors Guide to Real Estate Investing for Busy Professionals." Loved it!Learning about the author's story and how real estate investing worked so well for him while practicing as a full time surgeon convinces me that I can make it happen for myself too. I know it's in the cards for me, but reading this book makes the picture more vivid.I get the impression that the author is able to automate well because you have algorithms for how you think about/manage certain problems. Seems to be exceptionally decisive and have clarity in what he wants for himself. The authors comes across as a man of faith and someone who feels compelled to add value to others/society. I could go on and on, but I'll wrap up by saying thank you for sharing your wisdom with the world via your writings, lectures and online presence.

Excellent book
I really enjoyed reading this book! I enjoyed it so much I finished it in one day. It is packed with very useful and practical advice and more than anything he proves through his own experience that real estate investing is not a time suck but a very practical, realistic and lucrative investment strategy. My only complaint is regarding his experience with no-money down real estate purchases. I have yet to make the numbers work for me with regards to a realistic interest rate and positive monthly cash flow. In my circle of friends there are not a lot of people willing to loan money at 5%; 8% or 9% sounds more reasonable but at those rates cash flow quickly runs dry. Regardless, the majority of his advice and suggestions are spot on and make complete sense.

Much better than other real estate books for this segment of the investing population
Much better and more direct and concise than other real estate investment books I have read. Physicians do a great job of being specific and not full of fluff. Get it said and move on.

Great book
This made me want to go out and buy multifamily. I have a strong interest in deploying a real estate investment plan upon completion of my residency training.

Great book!
This is a great book for physicians or other high income professionals who are interested in getting into real estate but don’t how to get started. It is well organized and practical. I love hearing Dr. Fawcett’s own experiences as examples. I highly recommend this book before making the plunge into real estate investing.
