A very nice shoe but the "slip resistant" metal thing on the bottom (designed to unfold to provide traction on ice) was not pictured and the description was vague regarding this feature. Probably not the best shoe for everyday wear. The metal spike could potentially damage flooring.

These shoes are great. They are comfortable, warm, and water proof. I got then for a backpacking trip, and they never got uncomfortable, even when walking 10-15km a day. However, the metal grips on the bottom came a little loose due to all the walking, and now they make a clacking sound when I walk on pavement. This hasn't compromised the structure of the shoe itself yet, but the sound is annoying and I'm afraid that with time the metal will either catch on sometime or break off and ruin the sole of the shoe.

They're super sturdy and feel like they're good quality. I didn't realize they had metal spikes on the bottom, though. I bought them for my younger son and so I didn't want him to wear them with the spikes. I had to pull up the item again to find where it listed the metal on the description, and it was just a little hard to find. My fault for not looking well enough. They'll be great boots for snow or icy weather. Just be aware if you're buying for younger kids, they have sharp metal spikes.

The boots are really nice and my 10 y/o loves them. We just got them today, so can't speak to durability, but they seem well-made. The insides are fleecy and soft. I took away one star, because they have these hiking spike things at the bottom that pull out. I've never seen anything like that and already it seems it's just the thing that catches a boy's interest! :)

The sizing is very accurate. My son thought they were comfortable and theyre very soft inside. My only complaint is that they are VERY bulky. The shoe looks quite large on my 7 year old. They also have a metal spike you can flip over under the sole for traction on ice. This was a little much for what we needed (cold weather shoes) but i can imagine would work out great for places where it snows alot but you want more of a tennis shoe and not snow boots.

It fits a little snug compared to other same size boots because of the insulation, my son likes them so that's a plus. Also they are a little defective. The boot tongue has sponge sewn out of it and there was a string from one side to the other side of the boot and his toes got caught. Aside from that boots are ok, not 100% sure if they are waterproof. I will update as soon as it rains/snows and the boots are used.

These are very well made hiking boots. My 6 year old son LOVES them!! In any other shoe, I would have got him a size 2 (which would give him room to grow) but I got these in 2.5 since that was the only option. They fit perfect so a size up might be the right call. They are super soft and fuzzy inside and he loves the metal spike that flips out on the bottom!

Fits as expected. Very comfortable and warm. My boys love the spikes on the bottom although we live in San Diego so they will probably never use them! Definitely a great pair of boots. We camp and hike regularly so need durable and comfortable these are both!
