Q: Can you swap the chain?

As far as just slipping it off the present chain and putting it on a different chain the answer is no. However, if you have jewelers tools and do a little jewelry making and repairs as I do, you could probably be successful in changing out the chains. BUT, it's not something you could just do daily on a whim. If you chose to do this you would probably be taking a chance in causing damage and you should also consider the change to be permanent. Bottom line, it's possible but I don't think you should do it. The danger would be in causing damage to the tiny little loops on the casing holding the stone. Hope this helps.

Q: does the silver necklace tarnish and can you get it wet?

If you’re wearing it here and there it should be fine to get it wet. I wore it for a few months straight and it started to lose the shine in the chain so I stopped wearing it. Hope that helps!

I purchased this for my grandson to present to his then girlfriend. It's not cheap looking, nor is it plastic. She was quite pleased.

Not at all....I've had this necklace (and the silver one) for over a month and I have noticed not one hint of fading and it does not irritate my neck. I get a lot of compliments on it.
