The Welles Step - For Easier Defecation

I've been using The Welles Step for a month. I'm an active female in my early 60's & weigh 150 lbs. The Welles Step is great. It did not increase my elimination frequency, but it DID increase my elimination quantity. I believe it decreased my chronic back pain by 10%. I also find that I can walk more upright than I did before. Prior to buying The Welles Step, I was using a little step stool (11"L x 6"W x 7"H), placing both feet on the small surface. Now my feet are positioned 18" apart and are 8.5" high which opens up my "exit hatch" effectively. I have a typical apartment bathroom and I have the adjustable side to side base length at 19", the foot platforms are 21" apart above the base bar and from back to front the step is 15". I slide it back when not in use and it isn't obstructive since there is no platform in front of the toilet. I do not know if it helps with constipation or irregularity. I know that I feel better "down under" after using The Welles Step. Feces do not get stuck waiting for my my next deep breath and strong push. There is no "draw back" because of incomplete defecation. I can't say The Welles Step has changed my life, but I give it credit for a noticeable change in my comfort level. I was surprised by the difference it made in my chronic lower back pain. Truthfully, I didn't know that I had an elimination problem. A competitor's commercial peaked my interest in devices such as this. And I thank that other product with such a catchy name since it started my research which ended in this purchase.

Being pregnant, this was a must have, for reasons we have no reason to detail here. At first, we bought the squatty potty, which must have invested a 'shit-ton' in their SEO marketing, because the Welles Step was almost impossible to find. Anyway, the Squatty Potty is huge and obnoxious and always in the way when you don't want to use it. This step is discreet and fits in our tiny bathroom without getting in the way when not necessary.

I have been using this product for over 2 yrs and the only thing I'd like to change about it is to make it portable. I have health concerns & find the Welles Step helps so much. You are in a more anatomically correct position with this. It's not a cure-all, but, it does make a big difference especially if you have stomach problems.  The Welles Step - For Easier Defecation

If you have any problems with fissures or otherwise, this product is almost a must. It has taken me a while to get the proper width adjustment, and to learn how not to bruise the back of my calf, but in every health-wise way, it's an enormous benefit in aiding healing and providing prevention of future problems. Beats having surgery.

Fits under toilet away from drippy men much better than the squatty "male-drip-catcher potty". Poop rating #1 (ahem) and #2.

Item arrived on time and in perfect condition. It works well. Better than expected. I have had hemorrhoid surgery and want to avoid ever going through that again! This is a huge step, in the right direction, to help that.

The Welles step has a simple, clean and discreet design. I love that it works for people of all sizes and easily fits under the toilet when not in use. Would recommend it to anyone looking to better their bathroom routine! A++
