Hadley Irish Fire Peat Burning Natural Hand Cut Turves Log Peat Heat - Large bag approx 12KG

UPDATE - I contacted the supplier and after sending photos of the bags on a scale they refunded me the missing weight difference which I was happy with.It does burn well but does not last long so I would not buy again. I did not notice the wonderful smell that everyone seems to get off this product.To be fair I have not even tried this fuel on my stove yet as I am so appalled at the amount of peat I got. One bag was 9.3 kg and one bag was 10.3 kgs. Advertised weight says approx. 28kg in total for two bags, which I would say is could be 0.5 to 1kg either side, not nearly 2/3rds of a bag missing. The bags are not cable tied like as shown, mine where cellotaped...not packing tape, but cellotape!

I ordered peat as I have done elsewhere before . Two bags arrived both open and with some tape wound around (ineffectual) the peat burns fine but this was bags by weight and inside I found a large heavy stone… mistake or on purpose? Means I did not get the full peat weight for sure

This Peat burns really well, and gives off a wonderful aroma. This is the first time I have bought real turf and I am really pleased I tried it. I ordered 3 bags on my first order, and a further 5 bags on my second order, as it is that good. I had a little problem with my first order, but the company was very professional in the way they dealt with my issue, hence my repeat order. The Peat obviously doesn’t burn for as long as coal, but used together with some wood (and coal) it creates a lovely mixed fire. The smell it gives off while burning is the best part of all. Since having COVID last year, I have been unable to smell anything, that is until I got this Peat. For some reason, it’s heightened my senses, and as well as being able to smell the aroma of the Peat, I have started to smell other things too?! Very bizarre, but I’ll take it as an incidental benefit to me!!

The peat was excellent and burnt with the sweet smell I was hoping for, however I ordered 2 bags and only received 1. I did inform them but heard nothing back from them.

I dont know why some reviewers are saying this peat is a "con" It's handcut peat, like it says on the box. Some turves have broken sure, but sometimes you need smaller pieces to light the fire and it all burns when you adjust your stove's settings correctly. I got 6 bags at a reduced price, so even with a few broken, it was still excellent value and even in stormy weather, it didn't take long to reach England. Could maybe do with stronger bags as a couple split en-route and dpd repackaged them but all fine otherwise and I'd recommend the product and the sellers.

Good product, but as it is courier delivered, can arrive beaten up or opened. However, have bought multiple times and it gives off plenty of heat and that peat smell. Recommend
